Since I started this bet I've read Uzumaki, 160chs of Gantz and 50chs of Fourteen.

I imagined Fang to be a completely different kind of enemy but the whole fight against him was pretty damn great. Everything else sadly doesn't hold up but the fight choreography has been really imaginative and excellently paced. Now that he's got all those mercenaries and assassins on his ass I'll hopefully get to see more fights and less blablabla.

Tomoko is pretty damn amazing in a weird way to take her younger cousin around and talk about how much of a perv she is (imaginary boyfriend or no).

That being said, the ending was waaaat. :lol

It's just a continuation of all the Ippo vs Itagaki foreshadowing already going on. Remember that the whole reason Itagaki does these time challenges to himself is because he can't fight Ippo directly. So soon enough, Itagaki's going to leave the gym to get a title challenge, or the rules about in-gym fights are going to change.

I get it I get it but I just look at "Itagaki vs Saeki" and I don't see any "Itagaki vs Ippo" in that bundle of letters. It has no relevance to that matchup. There's nothing about Itagaki and Ippo being in the same gym that makes Itagaki not a worthy opponent. That's downright rude.

Unless Saeki's talking about something like "Itagaki is such a wimp that he won't even quit his gym to fight his dude", in which case Saeki doesn't deserve the judge's godly save there because that's a silly thing to think. No one is obligated to do such nonsense. He can do it, but he shouldn't be obligated to.

(by the way, I'm aware of my prediction skills, but I don't think Itagaki's gonna go that route, not until he beats Miyata)

I think this is pretty much it. "I'll become a champion as a speed type boxer!" or "I won't lose to another speed type boxer, unless he will become the champion!". It's dumb, but whatever.

And I think the Itagaki fight comes before Miyata.

I just knew Genda was a badass. I'm liking the new developments but the kid's sidestory can die in a fire, it's just so boring. I want more of Mamoru cutting shit up, preferably 1vs1 like the fight against Fang. And now I really want to know what happened to Mamoru in the past and what his relationship with Genda is.

Also finally a hot chick in this manga.

Ippo manga is so awful now. Itagaki is such a shitty character. Prodigy who pulls stuff out of his ass every single fight.
