NEW KELIS ALBUM/SINGLE COMING??

"Skream also revealed that he is working with Kelis on a new song too, saying: "I just had a record for Kelis, a UK garage record. It’s getting a UK release so I guess it’ll get an American release. Its called ‘Distance’."

OH MY GOD!!!! YES!!! YES!!!
KELIS' Acapella was one of the first singles I ever bought on iTunes. Flesh Tone in general was interesting. I haven't listened to any of her other albums but her singles usually please me.

I jammed to Milkshake so obsessively

From my perspective, 1D seems to have better marketing. I keep hearing about them everywhere.

The Wanted just has a the hotter single out there but that seems to be it. I dont hear any buzz about them.

Since the wanted has Jay, that makes them superior in my eyes.

I, too, prefer The Wanted (if I have to choose). I prefer their aesthetic, and I don't get the impression that they're playing up a Peter Pan vibe. The Wanted looks and acts like you'd expect boys their age to look and act...which is to say they look like they'd attempt to run a train on you if you got too drunk around them.
Which is A-Ok in my book.

That, and "I'm Glad You Came" isn't a terrible song. My only knocks of it when I first heard it was that the verses were bland as hell and the vocals were so undefined that I didn't even realize that the song was by a group, which just strikes me as pointless.

Boy bands (hell, pop bands in general) these days just seem to be personality gimmicks (put enough boys on stage and the public will surely fall for at least one of them). And while personality has always been the name of the game, vocals used to play a part, too. Hell, even N*Sync and Backstreet Boys made the occasional showing of harmonizing and ensemble dynamics.

Hey I'll take It anywhere I like. I suppose you might have trouble handling that though. And again you judge based on Xfactor and nothing current. So forgive me If I don't really take anything you say as relevant.

... I've heard them recently. They still aren't good.

The mere fact that you like their music isn't the same as them being any good. I like Britney's music, but she can't sing for shit.

Harmonies so buttery-smooth you won't even know where your pants went.

Harmonies.

I only mentioned the XFactor thing as it was live vocals. I've heard there cd and it's nothing better.

Ignore my facts if you like, but never pretend they sing better than Adam. Remember you called my ability to see talent out because I like the best male singer in pop. Which alone is laughable since you are stanning for mediocre.

So again, none of those boys can even come close to what Adam can do vocally. Bring out the charts and even tour sales, and revel in that. It's what they have.

Or please, post live videos that show their superior vocal prowess, I'd love to see them.

Ok yeah there's only 2-3(ish) hot members but they still fine idc idc

Mostly Marvin is the only real sexy one tho. Sadly he's engaged to Rochelle from The Saturdays so :(

Now I know your trollin.

I actually think you're deaf, or just have no knowledge of support, timbre, breath control, range, ease of changing registers, etc.

Which of those would you like to debate? Which of those do any of the boys in One Direction excel over Adam in?

He's not though. :(

Whether this is a genuine compliment to Glambert or an observation of the sad state of male pop these days, but nobody on the men's side is really singing with the same flair as Glambert on the men's side.

Only guy who comes close is Sam Sparro. Love that one song of his. This man's tone makes my panties m o i s t

Reminds me! Any opinions on Sam Sparro, GAF? I like him. :)

Is It really a debate If you will just stick your fingers In your ears and ignore It like always? I rather not waste my time.

I see your stanning has limits which is good. You had no chance.

But nice try getting in the attempt at a shot there. You've been ignoring my posts on this the whole time while claiming those boys can sing in the same stratosphere as Adam Lambert.

But be a dear and please feel free to present your case that I "stick my fingers in my ears and ignore it like always". That should be fun.

Yes, you were done when you stepped to me on determining vocal ability. ;)

Sam Sparro is cool, though I actually think his tone sounds a bit congested. Not nasally, but congested.

I would but since I do love me some Koodo. You can just PM me for more or ignore me. Either works :)

Also Leona you know my fav Is always Nathan In The Wanted. But I can see why most go for the bald one. Atleast It's not that curly haired one...

You guys are relentless. I have no position about 1D. They are, as far as I can tell a harmless pop act. But what people are ignoring is that from the ranks of manufactured boy bands we have, from time to time, been blessed with accomplished musicians once they've had a chance to nurture their own identities and polish their craft.

J.T, Robbie Williams, George Michael. They had to start somewhere. They may later shun their beginnings but they may never have been if not for boy bands. There's a market for them and in the end they're really not really harming anyone. Cut them some lack.

BSB 4 LYFE!
J/K

EDIT: Perhaps the more pressing question should be: which one of those twinks is the gay one? There's always (at least) one in their midst.

Wonder if his album will be any good. For how popular he seemed to be he sure didn't accomplish anything in terms of sales or hit singles. But then again Idol hasn't made a star in years.
