bandai namco should call whedon to make dragonballz movie with his avenger template.

Wait. What? This was actually in a comic? What the hell point could she have possibly been trying to make?
He knows it's true, but given that it's a stupid-ass comparison, he's chosen to ignore it.Not baiting, just hurtin' cause its true. He knows it too and hence no response.
While you may not have enjoyed the Avengers, you might be a huge fan of the Film Stage podcast discussion of it, which, despite lamenting the length of the film in question a number of times, is roughly an hour long itself. There's something for everyone!Just got back from a 11:50 showing. Theater was about 75-80% full. I didn't really have a good time unfortunately. And I love Joss Whedon's stuff (except for Dollhouse). Not sure if I just spoiled myself too much or if the Nolan Batman films have made it really difficult for me to enjoy the traditional superhero flick. Everything just seemed really cliched and tired, even.Colson's death

I couldn't get through five minutes of those hipster snobs bashing the movie and giving each other reach arounds.
The Film Stage is really horrible. When Expendable/Plainview went on Slashfilm's podcast, it somehow made it worse, and the slashfilmcast is pretty bad by itself.
Baller!
I don't understand why so many people seem incapable of enjoying both Nolan's darker, grittier, more grounded superhero vision and Marvel's big, fun, colorful superhero movies.
Why does it have to be an either/or?

This question is particuliarly vexing when, from my perspective, it's like multiple massive childhood dreams coming through as an adult. I got goosebumps watching Nolan's Batman for the first time and RDJ as Iron Man with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury on screen together for the first time. Not only did I not have to choose, the fact that both exist makes both better for meI don't understand why so many people seem incapable of enjoying both Nolan's darker, grittier, more grounded superhero vision and Marvel's big, fun, colorful superhero movies.

*raises hand*Has anybody actually been making the argument that the difference is tone rather than quality?
I hope they make him bright fucking orange and Barney purple like the Vs. games.

Why does the gauntlet switch hands...
Am I the only comics fan that sees the supreme irony in this statement?I don't understand why so many people seem incapable of enjoying both Nolan's darker, grittier, more grounded superhero vision and Marvel's big, fun, colorful superhero movies.

HuffPo said:Disney reports that the record-breaking superhero film grossed $29.1 million on Friday, putting it on pace to top $100 million for the weekend. If that happens, "Marvel's The Avengers" will become the first film in history to cross triple digits during its second weekend of release.
As for "The Avengers," the records just keep falling: the film will top $300 million at the domestic box office on Saturday, after just nine days of release -- making it the fastest film to reach that total. "The Avengers" will also break the record for second-weekend gross, besting "Avatar" and "The Dark Knight." All told, "Marvel's The Avengers" could be at $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales by Sunday.
I loved Nolan North Deadpool, when they're being chased by the Hulk, "Hey I think we lost him"
