The Official E-Cigarette Thread Of F#ck Analog Cigarettes

Tried these out when I visited family over the summer (my brother and uncle both use Blus), and would love to buy a starter pack or something. The problem is that I live in Japan, and I'm not sure what the situation is here regarding e-cigs - which brands/flavors are good, etc.

Anyone have any experience buying in Japan? I found a few online retailers, but not many reviews and zero recommendations from people I know here. I'd like to base the purchase on something.

@zeth - Did you like the Sweet Caroline from iVape? That and AVE Blend 4 are def my top 2 juices right now. Sweet Caroline was the first great flavor I discovered and its been in my top 2-3 juices for the past 3 years!

Haven't tried iVape yet. I do love Honey Flue/Nut from BB. They actually sent me the wrong one, but quickly sent me some nut flavoring to add to the Honey Flue which was pretty nice. VirginVapor is great too but I think they raised prices again, it's $25 per oz for the basic stuff which is insane when you compare it to places like NiteLiteVapor.

AFAIK, legally, you can only have nicotine-free liquid in Japan, so getting started might be kinda complicated.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought the KGO kit, anyone recommend getting the Vision eGo Transparent Clearomizer to go with it?

Never tried it. I've tried other clearomizers and they were OK, however, once you start dripping nothing is ever the same.

I got one recently with my first eCig battery (Ego Twist) along with a Boge cartomizer and a 306 atomizer for dripping and it's by far the worst of the 3. Everything tastes watered down as if the ejuice has been diluted. I've read online that it's hit or miss and some are great, so maybe it's worth a try and I was just unlucky.

So I have the Ego C Twist and I'm really liking the size of it and I was wondering if there was another battery that's about that size but instead of being variable voltage (which hasn't been kind to me, so far) it uses the size to have better battery life.

I'm guessing one of the other Ego models will essentially perform like an Ego Twist stuck at 3.7 volts. What has been your problem with Variable Voltage? The twist is my first battery but I couldn't love without VV now; of the various devices and juices I've tried, they all perform best at different voltages (mostly between the 3.8 - 4.2 range).

I actually picked up 2 of those clearomizers last night (I also have a KGO). Found a local shop that is set up like a bar and you can try juices, etc. Anyways of the 2, one of them is shit. Hardly any vapor, yet it feels like I'm hitting a 6 foot bong. I'm guessing maybe it's getting too hot?

The other one is perfect. I had them put Watermelon flavor in it and it tastes like a Jolly Rancher. I think if they are filled correctly and you don't get a 'lemon', they are great. That said, I've literally had it for like 18 hours, so I'll update in a few days and let you know how it's going.

My original kit came with 6 pre-filled cartridges (which I later learned are just pre-filled drip tips), so what I did is drip come of the 'Camel Light' juice that I bought into those (since they were originally filled with 'USA Mix'). This is the juice that was originally put in the busted clearomizer. Dripping seems easy and works well.

I think my ultimate goal would be to have several flavors, with my favorites filled into a few clearomizers for extended use. Then have drip tips for backup purposes or for trying out other juices.

Any time I go above the standard 3.7 range (or 3.8 if just want to be daring!) most of the juices I've tried above that range have tasted weird and burnt. Tried it with both cartos and tanks, so maybe it's just my taste buds being off.

Strange. I find Boge cartos work best at 4.2, a tank varies depending on the juice and if I'm dripping I stick with 3.7. I can usually crank a tank up to 4.8 before it starts tasting burnt. Perhaps it's just the juices I have. I tend to go for sweet/fruity stuff. Currently vaping mint choc chip icecream and the mint really comes forward at 4.2.

Anyone have or try Millenium Milkshake from Zombie Juice. I'm hooked, it taste soooo freaking good.

I'm currently using the Megalodon right now, and have nothing but good things to say about it. Its been pretty solid for me thus far.

I haven't bought from them yet. Honestly I'm more concerned about the delivery time. Some vendors are taking weeks to deliver my juice and I'm getting annoyed. AVE has been the best. I order and it goes out that day or first thing the next morning.

Just a little thing that slips over an atty allowing you to drop directly onto it and take a draw. It requires topping up a lot and is thus more hassle since it negates the need for a tank or cartridge to keep feeding the atty -- you're feeding it directly, but it produces an unrivalled flavour in my opinion. Especially with a 306 low resistance atty.

Hmm, I vape a LOT. Almost constantly. Maybe this wouldn't be the greatest thing for me then.

Well I got my Honey Flue backwoods brew yesterday. I don't like it at all. It has some weird chemically taste.

I'm going to let it steep a few weeks and give it a try again near the end of Sept.

AVEjuice needs to open up again, fast. They are closed for business while they are moving.

Glad to see this is catching on big time. I have been vaping for years now, and I'm training for a marathon currently. Imagine smoking for years and then training for a marathon (while still smoking) lol.

So I figured id bump this thread and share, I've been smoking for about 8 or 9 years now not as long as many but still longer than I care to admit. I ordered a starter kit from victory e cigs and am enjoying using it but I think I should have done abit more research. They sent me the starter kit on a "free" trail deal and once a mnoth will charge my for carts, in doing research after the fact it seems most of these type of operations are scams.

So I'm probably going to send this back before they charge me and pick one up from a different site. I'm currently looking at a site called ozonesmokes, or firebrand as they both seem to come with positive reviews from most that I have seen. The fact that I can dial back the nicotine dosage is a huge plus for me. Has anyone had experience with any of the three sites I've used? I want to make sure that when I invest in this that I don't end up getting screwed.

don't know anything about that site, but E-cigs are so cheap, you shouldn't have to enter any contract or only use a certain product.

That is most definitely a scam. Do some research and go with a trusted site. A couple of sites I would recommend are:

www.okcvapes.com
www.vaporkings.com
www.myvaporstore.com

These sites are great, stay away from anything that charges a monthly thing like that, total scam.

Yeah, that post about trials and subscriptions is a total scam with fake reviews and all most likely. It's really a shame how much of that is out there. I swear it's the majority of the industry. Check out ECF forum, and go to known sites (many are mom & pop-type operations). I'm very wary of any vendor who doesn't mention specifics like battery capacity, voltage, resistance, or ejuice specifics. All you need is an ego type battery, cartomizer/atomizer, and some liquid.

Well I got my Honey Flue backwoods brew yesterday. I don't like it at all. It has some weird chemically taste.

It definitely becomes more subdued with time. It does taste more like green tea though. They sent that to me instead of the Honey Flue Nut, but were quick to send me a little dropper of Nut flavoring which is fantastic and makes it 100x better. If you really don't like it, ask them for a few drops of nut flavoring in another order maybe. I'm stocked up on Malty Toffee, and VV Kona Velvet Milkshake :)

Just stopping in to say that I love this clearomizer thing. It's absolutely fantastic and has worked extremely well. Also, I haven't used tobacco flavored juice in about 5 days. I've been switching between watermelon and blueberry (or a combo) and I really have no desire to go back to standard tobacco flavors.

I never thought I would ever get to this point. Especially after scoffing at some of the fruity flavors that were getting praise around here when I first got into vaping. But now I completely take all of that back and welcome my new fruity flavors.

I think I'll pick up several more of these clearomizers now and just keep them stocked with different flavors. Sure, I'm currently 1 for 2 on them being bad out of the box, but they are $5, and the one that does work is just so damn awesome.

I dont know what clearomizer you bought but the tech is constantly evolving and there are at least two manufacturers making clearomizers right now.

I got my KGO unit and I loved it, I see the website I buy from has alot of clear-omizers for 510, is that compatible? and also can my KGO fit 510 drip tips? and is my Kgo basically a Ego? I could use cliffnotes.

Most things should fit on it. It looks like it has a standard 510 end like the Ego so yes the Ego/Vision/Startdust clearomizers will work. A 510 drip tip will fit on any 510 atomizer. I recommend a 306 LR (low resistance) atomizer and a 306 drip tip for dripping though.

I've had mixed results with my Ego Vision Clearomizer. The first one I got gives a tough, watered down vape that isn't that good. I got a Vivi Nova tank (might be named differently in the US) which is the best I've had so far, and from reading online it seems to produce a better vape consistently.

That's what I've got. Well, I know its a CE4. Whether or not it's the CE4+, I'm not so sure. It looks like those pictures, but the actual tip itself is shaped more like that of a Black and Mild and not perfectly round, if you know what I mean. I'll probably just order a few of these from here to make sure I get the right ones. Thanks.

And yes, an addendum to the OP would be great for newcomers. The knowledge I have now compared to a month ago has greatly increased. It's confusing as shit at first, especially considering most people that are just getting into it probably just bought a disposable which is a completely different animal than the device I've got in my pocket right now.

Maybe an 'Anatomy of an e-cig' section would be great.

edit: WhatRobEats, just order a few of those that Brosey linked. Make sure you watch a video or something on how to fill them beforehand though. It's really easy to fill if you know what you are doing, but also incredibly easy to screw them up if you don't.

Thanks DD. I've had clearomizers in the past but they were for an 808 kit. I assume these fill up the same way if so no worries. I'll check out a vid though to be sure. Thanks again for the recommendation

Here are my 'trusted' links.

https://smokelessimage.com/ - Good 'cigarette lookalike' ecig, a serviceable amount of juices deliveries are reliable and products are above average.

http://www.avejuice.com/ - Currently closed due to moving and I'm about to go crazy. Best juices of the many I have tried. Do yourself a favor and pick up Gorilla Juice and/or Boba's Bounty.

http://www.vapedudes.com/ - Good juice selection, will mix it however you want it. In regards to PG/VG percentages. Reliable delivery.

I have a 'shady' site for you. Terrible customer service. I've gotten 2 messed up 950maH batteries from them and had to eat the cost both times because I used it with a non-Volcano branded atomizer. (such BS) All their batteries are are re branded eGo batteries.

I just figured id give an update here, I got fed up with the first pos I picked up from victory so the past two weeks I did a bunch of research and ended up getting a "real" starter kit from a site called sweet vapes. The kit comes with two ego twist batteries I chose one 680mah and one 1000mah, it also comes with two ego vision v2 clearomizers, a charger, and a case. I also picked up a pack of regular 2.0om boge stainless steel cartomizers. All together that came out to about 87 bucks with shipping.

For juice I got two sample packs of 4 juices from heathers heavenly vapes for about 20. Everything has shipped so now I'm just waiting. And ill post some pics and impressions if folks are interested when they come and I can get some proper time with them. Ill also post links for the sites when I get everything wether good or bad.

Also suggestions for the op imo, there is a video of a congressmen who's name escapes me that is addressing issues of ecigs he is now the head of the ecig association, also a guy named grimm green on youtube has some really informative videos on youtube aswell. Ill post links later on when I can as I'm using my phone atm, but so far from most of the more seemingly legitimate studies I've bee reading seem to point to pv's being a much safer alternative. I just hope big tobacco, and the fda do not strangle this.

Sweet OP. You should update it a little more with some pretty pics of tanks, clearos, and other assorted hardware. Also recommend GrimGreens youtube, also DrVapor. His How to Drip a 510 Atomizer vid is essential for a new person.

And under shady, the warning about scams should be bolded or something.

Just picked up an ehealth starter kit and Im loving it. Just as good as smoking a cig. Best thing so far is being able to smoke and exercise at the same time.
