Right.....the NFL is a beast that people can't avoid regardless of what they do. I think this comes down to the players and coaches making a statement by either refusing to play or something along those lines.

A potential action-producing is to co-ordinate a boycott of NFL sponsors (i.e: official X of the NFL). Get NFL partners to exert some pressure on the league. Hard to get traction on that, but with the right person in front of it...
EDIT: easier to get people to stop buying Old Spice than playing fantasy football.
