Vita is like having a girl with ... 4 breasts.

Owning a Vita is like banging a drunk chick who looked like a wild piece of ass before she got drunk. There's a ton of potential there but it's wasted. So you stop banging her and go find her average looking chubby roommate (3DS) who is sober and she turns you inside out.

The people working on Sony's advertising in American were probably also American.

Doesn't make the advertising any less cack-handed.

Different culture, different standards. Americans can't even see a nipple without protesting in the streets.

Sony's advertising makes me truly hate Sony. Im not even kidding. After I saw that one ad for Vita with the armless flesh giant kicking a rabbit into a hat I honestly felt embarrassed for owning a Vita for a minute.

How pathetic is that?

anyone french in this thread that would like to comment? Is it an intelligent ad or just stupid?

I'm French.
Well about this ad... really stupid. For a lot of reasons:
I never seen the fact to have two side with touchscreen being a selling point.
Also, the fact to use a woman with breast in both side is... well... weird ? Yeah weird. Just make it a weird product.
They should have shown a correct use of the two sides. Or better, market games.

This is fucking pathetic. For so many reasons. Worst of all it doesn't even make sense to the customer once their filter through the gross misogynist crap; it doesn't work as an ad whilst turning off potential customers.

This is the image you don't want on your hardware.
Worst of all I think most people at Sony must know why this is a bad ad, they just look down on people who play games as a bunch of 12 year old boys who were dropped on their heads repeatedly as children. Its obvious in nearly all their western advertising for the last decade.

I actually love this ad. Its fucking terrifying but I do like it. Stick it on in Europe and with no translations, least people will be asking 'what the fuck is that?' :D

There's nothing about that ad that suggests it's misogynistic. Sexist yes, but not mysogynistic.

You guys take videogames too seriously, like some kind of religion. This is just a funny ad, I don't know if it's an American thing or a virgin thing, but making jokes about boobs is not gross nor misogynist.

You're taking this way too seriously. It's a big improvement for Sony's standards, remember the crying doll and alien women?

Sony's terrible ads go back a long way, though. I remember an italian friend sent me a Lone Soldier ad in which they said something like "War on TV isn't enough for you? Slap Bosnia into your playstation!".
It was just horrible. Then we have the Jesus ad, the thumb-penis ad, all shockingly classless and really idiotic

anyway... in what universe is back touch a selling point? If you're going to sell a unique feature of hardware it should be obvious to the consumer why it is or at least the idea of it is good

So which is it Sony, is it like a girl with 4 breasts, or a true console experience in the palm of my hands? Because my true console experiences sure haven't been like girls with 4 breasts.

Sorry, I'm just here for the gifs

Sexist is possibly a better word, but tbh am meaning the underlying statement of the ad.
For the record if it were some sexed up advert I wouldn't really care; its more the four breasts thing with some on the back that I think is cheap and childish with a pretty poor view of sex, attraction and women in general.

sooooooo its a device that is awesome in theory, but when people think about it they realize it is something they don't want and will not purchase?

The direct approach.

Really drives the point across in regards to dual touch.

The bigger problem with the ad is that it doesn't though. I mean if the ad worked then its fair enough - its doing what its suppose to do.

Its the fact Sony actually have no way to actually advertise the back touch (which is stupid anyway) and the ad isn't really necessary that theres fault with it. Instead its just pretty crass and stupid; and not great for the Vita brand.

This is fine.

Still have no idea why she's in the movie, there are no other mutants in the remake. TR2012 was such a good movie when it was doing it's own thing, every time it copied or referenced the original movie it dipped in quality and took a while to get going again.

As in the concept of having one might sound appealing for a brief second, but then you're like 'wtf? that's just stupid'
