Well think of it this way: the less time they devote to thinking up better ads, the more time they can devote to better games! Right?
Yeah I'm going with that.
Yeah I'm going with that.
No point in targeting ads at me Sony, I already have a Vita!
It may surprise you to learn that some women enjoy fondling breasts too.
Jesus guys its just a commercial in France. They love the freaky over there. Such hysteria.

This has got to be the dumbest line of thought when it comes to advertising. The idea that any good ad is one that makes you aware of the product is good is just false. An ad does nothing if it is so obnoxious or offensive that it damages (or at least doesn't drive) sales. Stop posting this stupid argument please.
and
This is why I come to GAF.
Doritos Pope is not amused.
HOLY SHIT.
Someone in the background is carrying a keyboard.
Face palm just doesn't cut it here.
I can't believe they've reverted back to this type of shit. I mean.....
Those French furry Orangina ads were pretty insane
EDIT: Truly a great mind Smoky has.
If that's the case just screen grab a shot from a porno, crop a PSP in the corner and call it a day.Geez calm down.
Tell me what a good ad is if it doesnt get people talking? I dont find it bad either, if it targets an audience and if it makes sense to them, then it works. If it doesn't work for you, then move on. How would it harm sales?
This is clearly advertised at males, I'm sure most of the dudebros woulde appreciate the humour. Obnoxious? Offensive? Sure, maybe, but what does that have to do with anything?
I dont think it will drive sales, nor do I expect it to, but if I'm some casual bypasser, flipping through a magazine and I see that, I'd chuckle and that analogy would stick in my head for a minute or two. It's a simple magazine ad touting back-touch by using something sexual. What's the big deal?
I own a Vita.
It's nothing like that at all. I claim false advertising.
This might seem bizarre, but remember, the Sony people working for Sony France are probably french, y'know. They probably think they know what they're doing.
