Worrying about the lead platform before a game's release still makes sense, since there are unknowns and all. But if you have the final, released results easily available, like we all do with Anarchy Reigns (about seven posts above this one), there isn't much reason to care anymore, right?

I just never got the logic of "lead platform". Especially for a dev like Platinum where their games start out on PC first and foremost anyways and are then scaled back to console specs. (which, according to Inaba, is why we shouldn't worry about Bayo 2's shift in platform to Wii-U. I was being facetious)
It's not like they're making a full version for one console and then port it over to the other like SF4 and I'm assuming the original Bayonetta; both of which do suffer from performance issues as a result.

It is a decent barometer for which one got a little more care and performance polish is all.

Good to see a decent number of people here already, I will be digging around the videos posted on this thread over the weekend to get a better handle on the modes and mechanics before getting stuck into the game proper.

I wonder why all those monsters jumped in to help the red team. Seems a bit much. The blue team was already getting stomped on. =l
Every time that I've seen this on current HD consoles the lead platform was either significantly superior or at least roughly equal. With this current slate of hardware, yeah, whichever is lead will make a difference, it's not like with PS2 and Xbox where it's feasible that if a game wasn't exploiting the esoteric strengths of the PS2 it'd look better on Xbox by default, or any PC port where so long as it isn't botched WILL run vastly superior.
On a similar note, Bayonetta 2 doesn't have the 360/PS3 as possible platforms to release on now, so even if it started on those it won't matter now, they have to do most of the development on Wii U and ensure it plays as they wanted it to.

The mutants last until they are killed. If your team decides to take them out then they go down pretty quickly. I think the mutant item only shows up in Team Battle mode anyway. Let your leader kill them if possible because one fills almost half of your rampage in Team Battle mode which is very important.

but they stay taking up that person's item slot as long as they are active as well. and there are more useful items so that's the trade I guess

Heh, are they anything like the weird robots in that alien stage of MadWorld? Those were the worst. Took me awhile to get through that stage.
I don't remember much of Madworld but the butler bots are BEASTS. Take a lot of punishment and dish out tons of pain.
