It hurts so bad. Why did we get LA Noire instead of RDR again?

Supposedly RDR required such a butchering of the Rage engine on consoles that stitching together a PC port would be a long and costly endeavour, but I find this incredibly dubious considering Rage was built from the off with the X360 in mind.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
I don't know, does it?

You act like you've never heard people complain about "clean" art before. I know I'm not making this up. People often misjudge minimalist art as boring, I know this happens.

I dunno, considering how quickly you tried painting me as a gritty-art Broseph Stallin, it appears this concocted person may be as real as a Republican's fantasy Welfare Queen.

Lego Batman 2, yay or nay?

Played it on PS3 last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it, even got a platinum (took around 20h) and I don't really go out of my way to collect trophies.

Had a tad longish load times though. Every time you collect a gold brick you have to wait 30 seconds for the game to save. If you collect all gold bricks you'll be standing and doing nothing for about 1 hour 30 minutes.

If you like platformers and lego games, go for it. It's the best lego game I've played.

I was about to buy a shirt or two and how are the sizes? I'm usually a medium or a small, and if it's a nice shirt that fits well and doesn't shrink I'm a small, but if it's a cheap shirt from target or whatever then I end up getting a medium. Are they nice and fitted or just whatever t shirts?

They are certainly decent quality t-shirts (well the Axe one is!) and don't shrink in the wash. They fit just like regular t-shirts I think.

Come now, I was just trying to have a friendly discourse on a game I found decent enough.

I was honestly just trying to find a legitimate reason as to someone would find Sanctum boring. In the end, it doesn't matter too much because it did well enough for the team to put out a sequel.

Is there a list with all deals somewhere?

Tony hasn't posted a master list just yet, however he has said that this Sega pack will be $10.

I hope Tony has been beefing up Amazon's Steam-related catalogue over the past few months as the sale earlier in the year was somewhat underwhelming.

Friendly discussions generally don't include fabricating opinions.

I think the reasons for disliking it were pretty well outlined.

It's boring because the game does not significantly change from the first minute to the last minute. It is just a stream of monsters that takes little thought to effectively dispatch. There isn't a terrible amount of choice in how you layout the grid. The gunplay isn't good (not terrible, but simply "there"). The art is the least of its worries, as it is also just simply "there."

Holy goodness if this was true- if they ever made RDR for PC...!

Gah, you've got me dreaming again.

At this point I'd even take a GTAIVesque port of next-to-zero effort; at least then I could wait 8 years and bruteforce 60fps. :p

Reading over the last page, these are the first real reasons, along with what hoostrax offered up in the way of criticism.

Totally more constructive than maligning it with comparisons to time spent in borderlands and dead island.

Sorry for the offense though!

It seems like we may never see the AO rated version that D2D were selling. Amazon is selling the M rated version. I am quite certain that the M rated version is using the graphics filters from the Wii version to suppress the violence that takes place during the execution sequences.

You are wrong.

Weird, the boxart and my information from 2K states AO. Let me call my guy and confirm real quick.

Cheers,
Tony

From my Rockstar contact:

Manhunt 2 (PC) is AO.

Manhunt is M rated.

Cheers,
Tony

Does that mean the original Manhunt is censored or has it always been M-rated in the US?

Reread the exchange again:

Maybe you're just not interesting -enough-.

I'm interesting enough to make it through the entirety of Borderlands 2 and Dead Island with the same group.

Damn, I just burned Sanctum pretty damn hard with that.

Seems Valve is open to the idea of making a meta-game that can be played with the cards. Finally, something to occupy the void left by the departure of Steam Chess!

JaseC, it seems that now you have to play the games you buy. I hope you can survive this.

ok so you join the group and they'll send out invites, is that right?

Also this seems like it will pretty obviously be part of pre-order bonuses for games, pretty smart now that they haven't really been offering TF2 items with pre-orders and Dota2 is still technically in beta

Ok, I'm offering Dota 2 copies for trading cards. I'll consider myself extremely lucky if I get one this way, but it won't hurt trying.

Oh gawd. I asked for Steam avatars. I'm not sure I asked for this...

I wonder if I can figure out a way to monetize this trading card scheme.

The thing that bugs me about this is that it's restricted to specific games. I know that they claim that they will be expanding it to more games but I don't envision a situation where every game on steam will be capable of earning these cards, in a similar way that not every game has steam cloud or achievements.

With over a 1000 games on steam, and unlike most steam users I do have an intention of playing as many of these as possible over time, so it seems completely counter intuitive to the concept of steam sales and whatnot to make these elements essentially "grind bait" for a select handful of games.

Obviously it's early days but if they are going to reward people for using and playing games on steam, award them for everything not being hardcore about a select few. I just hate the idea of playing hundred of hours of different unique and varied games while losing out because I'm not playing ctf_2fort for the umpteenth time.
