I hope they explain why it works this way. it's one thing to high ball the minimum specs, so that when people below them buy the game you have an excuse, but to prevent the game from running...
there must be a technical reason for this. it's limiting the size of their market. Now that the game is out, I don't think anyone is going to counter someone complaining about how it looks with 'BUT IT USES 6 GIGS OR RAM SO IT MUST LOOK GOOD!'

I think this game looks really good. The 4k screenshots look fantastic. If your buying a £300+ card btw, you should have 16gb ram. Ram is probably the most important thing in any pc. Ram is inflated atm, but its still affordable. Seems a little odd that its requiring 6gb minimum. I suspect there are sections of SP or MP that require more than 4gb, or even 3gb+. This would require more than 4gb total ram, so 6gb would be the next logical step (cant have 5gb, so it'd be 4gb -> 6gb).
Also comparing a brand new frostbite 2 engine used in BF3 that was aiming for graphics from the get go to an engine that has been morphed over time is apples to oranges. Considering the engine i think ghosts looks great.

Maybe they just bought better RAM? Most games barely use 4GB of RAM, so I don't see how 16GB alone would make any difference.

This isn't a good thing certainly, but... That said, does anyone here have a gaming-caliber PC and less than 6GB? I'd think that kind of unusual these days. I've had 12GB for over a year and just upgraded to 24GB.

I've been playing every PC game at high settings and 900p on my hd6850 + 4 Gig Ram. Battlefield 4 looks better than this shit and it doesn't need 6 GB. Fuck Activision.

I was going to post, a lot of PC CoD players run these games on minimal settings with super ultra mega shit PC's. Methinks this will wipe of a chunk of them

Yes sure, but just to make clear......I intend it to be a thread for serious comparison meaning people should post good screenshots and not just shitty ones of one of the games to further their agenda.
The game only uses 2GB or less so the page file shouldn't need to be accessed. It would be there merely to fool the game into thinking their was 6GB or more RAM available.
Oh and as far as people bragging about 16GB of RAM in their system for games. Yeah you might actually need that for games in 3-4 years, by which time you'll have a totally different system with totally different RAM anyway, well done.
