I haven't gotten an email but... for some weird reason I always get their emails a day or two after everyone else. I'm still holding hope.

That's pretty cool... Ryse is looking really good and Forza looks amazing... if I had more time on my hand, I would've bought both consoles at launch.

This is pretty much me. Only difference is my Gamerscore is just over 41K and not as high as some others here.

I'll be at 11 years of XBL on the PS4 launch, lol. So yea. I was hoping for one, too, but alas.

Congratulations to those that have won one though! :D

I'm so happy, can't wait for my gift. <3 Still going to talk to Xbox Support anyways, JUST in case they aren't actually sending anymore. :p Gonna reference them telling me I'd get one "But you guys said I'd get a free gift D:", and hope for the best. Back up plan!

Maybe they know by doing this they can provide goodwill to early adopters and also create an instant installed base. Good for us.

Onto other topics:
I think people should calm down. The emails were sent out this morning and they're still incoming. Complaining about what you haven't gotten at this point is like crying you don't see a present under the Christmas tree on December 1st.
The criteria could be everything from tenure to randomness. I got the KI letter and I "assumed" it was my Twitter posts asking questions or the fact that I'm an active Ambassador.
I never assumed it was my beta testing Xbox Live or services, my 120K Gamerscore, or the obscene number of games I have. The latter benefit only me, the former benefit the public.
It could totally random. It could also be they just don't like you.

You are definitely correct, we are giving away free gifts to all qualified users all over the regions where the xbox one is available. I believe the emails are already sent out starting today and it is by batch or waves, which is what we have been informed.

This totally makes it sound like everyone who meets their qualifications will get something. I hope that is true but that seems waaaaaaay to good to be true.

Sorry if this has been asked already but do you need to be a current gold member to qualify for this?

I only ask because up until fairly recently I had been a gold member for (I think) 6 years consecutively, and I was even doing it the lazy pay full-£40-a-year-get-it-taken-straight-off-your-debit-card method rather than the cheap 12 month code method. Plus I've got a couple of Xbox Reward VIP badges, one of which is Xbox followed by a heart, and another of which looks like a 10 years of Xbox Live celebration badge - if the dumb badges even count for anything? Or does everyone just get those anyway?

Same here. I have 2 accounts, one hooked up to AOL and the other Gmail. The AOL one hosts my Gold account, but I always receive MS emails on the Gmail account first.

My coworker got a free console. He's still a Gold member and has a 290k gamerscore.

EDIT: Could the OP perhaps make a list of every confirmed console recipient along with their membership status and gamerscores? So we can get a quick glance idea of what the baseline requirements are

Has anyone got both the Forza car and the KI characters?

I have 79k Gamerscore and 6 years on live.
Got the forza car on the 2nd of November so still hoping for the characters.

I got killer instinct so did my brother
we both have gamerscores over 145000

thats my starlight777 account
my lighthouse777 GT is about 14000.. I did not get anything on that on

so I think a lot has to do with gamer score

My gold expired early this year and I got the e-mail for free Killer Instinct. I have 5 years total of Gold before that.

Congrats to all those won - based on this thread, at the minimum you have to be in a country where the Xbox One will launch this month, which I'm not in, then your chances increase greatly by the amount of gamerscore you have, with the chance being extremely high at over 100,000 gamerscore.

I only have 56,000+ gamerscore because I'm mainly a multiplayer guy playing shooters and fighting games and buying my choice of the best single player games and XBLA games, niche or AAA. Me and most of my friends are in the group of countries that get the console next year, including one that has over 207,000 that didn't get an email so that's how I came to that conclusion. Me and most of them have been Gold members for at least 8 years as well too.

I'm assuming they'll do the same when the second launch comes around.

Edit: Whenever I get my Xbox 360 console situation sorted out because of that free game thing, I have a huuuuuuuuge backlog to clear out that will get that gamerscore up regardless.

I have a gamerscore of ~106,000, have been on XBL for about 9 years and ended up getting an email for a free copy of KI. Which is nice, but I don't plan on getting a XBone anytime soon (maybe if they kicked in a free copy of Forza 5? :3 )

It's what, 1-2% of the XBL userbase that has over 100k gamerscore. Even that? I looked on Trueachievements and that's my score is in the 94th percentile, and this is a site that would have a heavy self-selection bias toward achievement hunters. Given how many XBL accounts there are (what is it, 60 million now or so?), they would still be giving away a lot of codes for KI -- so the statement about "sending promos to millions of XBL users" doesn't seem that far off, especially if that is including the free cars some people have been getting for Forza 5.

Which version of the game is this? The Combo Breaker Pack or the Ultra Combo Breaker Pack?
