I can't either. We had a rather quiet, orderly launched here in Sydney, at least at my JB Hifi. Although as I walked out with my PS4, one guy was eyeing me rather intensely for no reason. It kinda unnerved me a little bit that I walked a lot faster than usual after that.

here in the US when we got out of gamestop we had my buddy in almost a getaway vehicle and threw 3 PS4's into my buddies car and everyone was like "HEY HOW DID THAT GUY GET 3 PS4'S"

because it was a strip mall with very little parking we parked behind the strip mall near another store and instead of being a target all the way to the store we had a buddy ready to go and GTFO. Yes, there was a lot of people eye balling me going to the car as well, thankfully I had nothing they could use.

Always a good idea to have at least another with you, even if they are not getting one have them be ready to go and just instantly drive away to avoid the mob.

What they've done here is borderline negligence. All it takes is for one person to get trampled or injured and a lawsuit will wipeout all of their profits. Is it that hard to have an organized line?

I don't know if anyone's asked this yet, but are like, lines not allowed in Europe? If the crowd is there for a particular item, it's not hard to organize a line. The free for all is funny (if no one got hurt) but really stupid.

People who were waiting in line with me at Gamestop on BF were acting like they wanted to run in like the people in the gifs (probably cause we had all been waiting for 2 hours in the cold). Gamestop employee told everyone that if that happened the fire department would shut us down and that only groups of 5 people could enter at a time. Demand for the PS4 is just ridiculous. It was something like 30 PS4s to 3 Xbones at my store.

Man I am so glad I preordered my console at a local EB games/GameStop in Canada right after E3

My launch experience was...

Wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, go for a jog, do some personal stuff, check GAF, then go out for lunch...
I later get a call from my cousin walking by the store telling me that the line had eased up and at around 2:30 in the afternoon go to my local EB games where the line was now gone... Chat with the clerks get my PS4 and go home

The most relaxing launch ever!

It's not just Europe, it's everywhere. It always happens whenever there's a very hot item that everyone wants or whenever stores have hot deals on items. See: Playstation 2. Nintendo Wii.

Or Black Friday in the U.S. in general. Makes me glad that online shopping through Amazon & other online stores exist.
