Yeah if you were paying attention to the game prior to launch, it's pretty much exactly what they've said it is all along.

Jeff has made a really good point though, they should have said online connectivity is required like Destiny.

Stuff like this is REALLY cool though

"We do want to add a ton of features, like we've just discussed: Freighters, bases, these type of things. But we want to do it for free," Murray said in a recent interview with Red Bull. "You've paid for the game, so you should get this stuff without paying even more money. So no, there will be no paid DLC, just patches."

It is cool, but damn, those types of blanket statements can really come around to bite them in the arse if reality causes plans to change.

I don't think it will, they are masters of their own domain. Sony are pretty hands off apparently.

And it looks like the game is going to sell really well.

That was a really great discussion. Making NMS digital only or online only would have helped the situation but each case would be doing a disservice to the developers and the game. Requiring online for a game that can be played completely offline would have upset people, and you still can't ignore the effects of having a retail presence.

Journey was so good.

A lot of people thought they'd gone through the whole game with one person, and then discovered at the end it was 3 or 4 different players that came and went throughout. That was my experience, certainly.

Wasn't a way access the video feed before it gets uploaded, like with UPF? Just started watching from the start but they took down the live feed.

Hard to tell if Jeff really likes NMS from the discussion. Guess we'll know when he plays more of it.

Trying to skip past the Nms talk. Is there a timestamp for this episode?

It stops at 56:00

I thought it was a pretty good discussion, although Jeff jumping from being concerned about how people without internet access would get the patch to saying they should have made the game online only was weird. People with limited internet access should not have the choice to play NMS taken away from them by an arbitrary online requirement.

Really enjoyed the "business-end of things" Iron Galaxy brought to the table, especially the NMS segment.

I read someone saying they were thinking that they could police the galaxy with their friends and make it safer lol.

haha Unfettered expectations are a helluva drug, that's for damn sure.
