Time has little effect upon jokes that weren't very funny to begin with. Shit, Jeff Faine said Freeman eats Taco Bell five times a week. That's not an anecdote you use as an ongoing joke - there's not a lot of material to run with there.

The Freeman jokes actually started before we even knew about that article. And yes, it still works so deal with it.

Wait, is Tabris the dude that introduced himself as a Dolphins/Jets fan, or something to that extent? Who was that dude?

Tabris is ... well, he's Tabris. He ballwashes both Mannings, so he's an NYG fan and a former Colt now Bronco fan.

I think he was also a fan of 6 or 14 other teams provided they were winning.

He has likely hanged himself since the Canucks were ousted in round 1 of the playoffs.

We hear he's doing swimmingly from every source, and we have no reason to doubt his work ethic.

Regardless of what you heard, we have an inside source!

Edit: Fuck, double post. This thread slowed down. Do you think if Patrick Willis joined GAF that FMT wouldn't ask him right off the bat how firm Harby's handshake is?

Banned, I'd like to trade down, too. But it looks less and less likely.

and in regards to Freeman, we've had Jared Lorenzen, JaMarcus Russell, and Daunte Culpepper post-knees. Freeman's body fat percentage isn't exactly historical by QB standards.

I miss the short-yardage specialist QB. The one time in 2007 when he faked the 3rd and Inches Fatboy Dive and heaved the ball 40 yards downfield (the WR was 35 yards downfield) was spectacular.

He's still living the dream too: fat as fuck, playing Arena League 19 ball.

Basically yeah. Unless you've been a part of special teams, it's hard to understand everything that goes into it, and unfortunately the announcers/talking heads don't show any inclination to want to learn. Every time a kick is returned for a touchdown it's gotta be the kicker/punter's fault; granted sometimes it is our fault, but sometimes it isn't.

Desean Jackson Punt Return for a TD?

He'd probably ask if he could meet him in a stall somewhere.

Why is there that godawful picture of me peering over the edge of the thread line like some demented clown?

I INSIST YOU REPLACE IT WITH SOMETHING SUITABLY MORE EPIC.

Like this.

That was mainly Dodge's fault. It was a terrible kick. His coverage didn't help him out a whole lot, but yeah, it was pretty awful.

Makes me remember the dissertation-length defenses or rationalizations of Dodge's kick that I read last year, for fuck's sake people were out of their minds with that...

Chris Kluwe - what are your thoughts on punting on 4th and 1 at midfield and it's like only the 2nd quarter?

And how do most of your teammates feel about it?

Also, if you like the NBA, come into our thread. :D

I didn't agree with Coughlin publicly bitching him out like that, because it's a lot harder to kick the ball out of bounds (while still getting decent yardage) than people realize, but Dodge definitely didn't hit a good ball. You've got to at least give your guys a chance in that situation.

@Black Mamba I do my job whenever they tell me to do it, and that's about all I can control. Coaching decisions I leave to the coaches.

I wish the NFL went back to the 2-day format for the draft instead of drawing it out for three days.

I liked waking up on Saturday morning to tune in for the first day.
