Hmm?It got overshadowed by TheatreRhythm, but I just got into Rhythm Thief and I have to say it is a great game. Very much like Layton, but with Rhythm challenges. Incredible art style as well. Can't believe it was published by Sega.
lego games should be like minecraft, not bead collecting sims
I thought I was alone in thinking that. Thank you, sir.
Hmm?
Rhythm Thief is the most Sega-like game that Sega had released in years.
Is there any rumour of pure white or black 3DS XL coming to North America ? I can't bring myself to buy the current colours. I find it bizarre Reggie of Nintendo saying black or white doesn't really sell in North America. Based on what ? The overwhelming success of the DS Lite ( primary black or white) or Wii (primarily white)?
GameSpot posted up a review of Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - I've only ever played the first Layton game on the DS, liked it, but never got around to playing the other two.
Kind of tempted to get this one.

Rhythm Thief is awesome, I'll just quote myself:
In a promotional note, GAF, you NEED to play Rhythm Thief, it's amazing, it's like a game stuck into the 00', but not in a bad way but more of a "We don't care about all those gimmicks and tedious tasks on our game, we are all about FUN and gameplay" way.
Play it GAF!
How is the 3DS version of Sonic Generations? I saw it cheap today and I'm wondering if I should buy it.
Has anyone played that Dr. Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights game? It's $11 on Amazon, and I'm wondering if it's any good.
I haven't really seen anyone vouch for it. If you're looking for a quirky, Layton-esque game, I think you'd be better off with Rhythm Thief.

I am on the fence for Sonic Generations.... what does gaf think?
That's what I'm thinking. the quick price drop led me to believe that it's not too great, but I dunno, I've had fun with bad games before. I will pick up Rhythm Thief eventually.
It's a good deal, best Resident Evil game this year.
Do it now now now now now, do it.
Now, seriously, if you remotely like rhythm games, and love a game with charming characters, fun plot and surprisingly high production values (i.e. quality), get Rhythm Thief.
I have the demo, just about out of plays on it. I'm waiting on a sale. I'm very poor at the moment.
There are three games in my US demo: dancing, stealth, and fighting. Is the EU demo different?
Well, the three games included in the demo are the less interesting of them all, just to give you an idea of how awesome it is.
And no, I don't work for Sega it just happens to be a very unique game that, I believe, people need to experience.
True, haha.
I swear this thing has too many games. Currently playing and loving Code of Princess, and I feel like I need to hurry up before Paper Mario, Mickey and Sonic Kart get released (and that's ignoring Harvest Moon, Layton and Adventure Time if turns out okay). Then Devil Survivor Overclocked sits unplayed on my collection, I haven't finished Shadow Wars, I can't wait for the Mutant Mudds DLC, I haven't bought Mario Tennis and Rhythm Thief... I don't even want to think about it.
The next year we get freaking Fire Emblem, Castlevania, Etrian Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion. I give up.
you persuasiveness is making me look at my credit card.
Possessing an unplayed copy of Devil Survivor Overclocked is a capital offense. I won't report you to the authorities if you start playing it immediately.

The current library is nice, but did the new game announcements just...stopped?
I can only remember 3 major announcements in Japan these past few months: Ace Attorney 5, Layton 6, and Shin Megami Tensei 4. Those are good games, but I kinda expected more for a console that sells 60k weekly in Japan.
Am I forgetting things?
There have been some other announcements like the Vanguard game, the Elminage Gothic porting or the next chapter in the Animal Crossing-clone series from Konami. And also Yokai Watch from Level 5. But yeah, announcements slowed a bit. Probably, it's just a temporary lull and soon we'll see more.
Layton rip-off or hidden object game?

Is Code of Princess good if you're mainly going solo? I heard it's very short for single players.
Wow, to transfer from a 4gb to 32gb, all I have to do is put them in my SD card reader and copy and paste it to the new one? That'll work for saves, dlc, etc?
So what games does this have? I got the 3DS XL because I found the 3DS to be uncomfortable. I played Mario 3D Land already and thought it was okay. I picked up NSMB 2 and didn't love it. Now I'm wondering "what's next?" I don't see anything until Fire Emblem that I'm interested in. At least not anything that isn't Mario. And I'm kind of Mario'd out right now after 2 mainline titles.
