Agent Dale's post history was a few minutes of good readin', no doubt. He was pretty good at his job.
Anti-middle class? Since when are the middle class not consumers?
Awful writing.
i checked agent coop's post history since i recall him acting like a normal human being in the ot. it's hilarious to see how he went from a seemingly regular poster to turning on the fucking astroturf afterburners with the 'family sharing is a system seller' horseshit.
I won't lie, I have, more or less, perfect internet connection. The last time I was disconnected was for a few hours a few years ago, but I'm lucky. I also don't buy or sell games, I very rarely lend or borrow games and, genuinely, the DRM and restricted sales doesn't affect me.
Prime example here, folks. Watch and learn.

People aren't going to do some tech dork shit to play call of duty. Nor should they have to.
I question the "officialness" of this argument, it seems more like the guy was grasping at straws trying to find a rebuttal. Still laughable though.Holy crap. If this means he was what we all think he was, and that further implies tethering your Xbone to a cellphone to get around a bad home internet connection is an OFFICIAL rebuttal being told to be used to get around home ISP problems, then MS is will and truly f#&ed.
Not that I agree with everything that guy wrote, but I always have my phones sharing access points for purposes like that, and I've run my Xbox through it several times with ease. Most recently when I bought a new house and had to wait two weeks for fiber. It's pretty damn easy (At least where I live, I've heard that there's some limitations on tethering in the US?)
The page was just taken down from Polygon. I was reading it, accidently refreshed and it's no longer available. The power of Microsoft?

Well I'm kinda digressing, so moving on..

And to think, this guy was working on a Saturday trying to convince us dorks that the Xbone is the greatest thing since Super Metroid (or *insert your favorite game here*). That's dedication.
maybe he was a regular gaffer, then he got the gig with MSi checked agent coop's post history since i recall him acting like a normal human being in the ot. it's hilarious to see how he went from a seemingly regular poster to turning on the fucking astroturf afterburners with the 'family sharing is a system seller' horseshit.

Telcos here don't exactly like tethering

Maybe... in any case, unless he's got more accounts, he's got the rest of the day off!Overtime / double pay on weekends?
Just listened to the 8-4 Play podcast, the DivX info training video at the end is spot on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Or4nWQpidk&feature=youtube_gdata_player

You're season 2 finale Agent Dale Cooper, aren't you?

Holy shit @ 10:00 this is Xbone in a nutshell....
Yeah, I'm an insider. I designed the Xbox One system. Now with my spare time I go on NeoGAF and try to change public perception by posting positively about the system. It's so obvious, right?
\.

I don't know. I just bought Remember Me day 1 and it's not very good. I'd probably sell it to a friend for £10 or so if I could.
So... how do we differentiate astroturfers from fanboys? A forum without hardcore fanboys would be pretty boring, and it would be a shame to ban those poor souls.
Like the Salem witch trials...
Honestly, I don't know

In the US tethering requires an additional monthly charge and has to be unlocked by the carrier
Looking back, I'm starting to feel thankful to EA for being the first to introduce the "cloud gaming" marketing term on a large scale with Sim City, and fucking it up colossally. Marketing must hate that.
Thank you EA, for making your marketing ploy so transparent and easily proven that even the least critical gamer will look twice before buying it again.
What if they aren't paid by marketers?
Remember the insane and painfully manufactured applause during the Xbone reveal? Those were microsoft employees right? What if, internally, employees of entire departments or divisions of Microsoft have been encouraged to join web communities in order to represent the company and product? Maybe they get some kind of incentive - a bonus or something. Maybe they have a competition of sorts with prizes. Thoughts?
Wow, thats bullshit.
I don't know if it's that coordinated, but I'm sure at least some of them are Microsoft employees. There was that MS guy that randomly got into an argument with Jim Sterling on Twitter, and a few of the shills here have slipped up and used "we" a couple of times when referring to MS. Usually they're parroting the standard talking points of "don't fight the future" and "it's just like Steam".
I think a lot of them are just really passionate about the project (which is fine) and have no idea how to handle themselves on the internet (which is not fine). See: Adam Orth.
The crazy thing about reading that banned dudes words, they sound like the same arguments other people have been using. Now I'm confused if I've been arguing with Viral plants or legit crazy people the past few weeks.
Is there any basis for banning those "shells"? I get that their opinions are biased but does that really warrant a ban? Are they getting banned because they just disagree with bish/us?

I imagine they are getting banned because they get into threads and shit up legitimate discussions. It redirects people from talking about the topic at hand to a non stop argument about stuff no one wants to read.
Look the one who just got banned in this thread. For 4 pages no one was talking about the article at hand. He completely derailed the thread.
They're getting banned because it's their job to do this. And they don't disclose it, of course.
