"but when I was 15 or 16, I made the decision to become a vegetarian based on ethical reasoning. I still loved the taste of meat, and I still love it to this day, but due to my beliefs, I gave it up. That was about 23 years ago. I also hate vegetables. "

what.

Surprised he still bases his diet largely on animal products (dairy = cheese) considering he said he became vegetarian for ethical reasons.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
This is going to catch up to him sooner or later. It's pretty amazing he can do that and maintain a normal figure and (relatively) normal health in his 30's, but I doubt he can keep it up forever.

In a perfect world a pizza pie would be the equivalent of broccoli nutritionally :(

You're telling me... but then, would anyone ever go a day without it? At least half the world's restaurants would have to convert to pizza places.

what.

So much that makes little sense in that paragraf. Added to the fact that he also claims to be a vegetarian, and yet resents vegetables.

I don't even

I used to eat pizza almost everyday. Now I regret that decision. Now I can't run as far or fast as I used to and feel like I'm going to get a heart attack. I'm trying to reverse the damage done by the wonderful food called pizza.

Patrick Stickles from Titus Andronicus has Selective Eating Disorder also. Sounds like a bad way to live, especially since it's such a ridiculous sounding problem to have.

When his blood sugar dips into the danger zone, it sometimes results in his blacking out on the kitchen floor in his underwear with frozen food scattered around him. There was that one time he bought a new car and then blacked out on the drive home. He swerved off the road and totaled the vehicle

But all the other doctors have said, "Your cholesterol is fine. You seem healthy. Keep doing what you're doing."

nigga needs a new doctor...

passing out regularly due to the diabetes is not healthy.

So he got diabetes after a while and was almost killed because of blackouts, that happen "sometimes", but besides that minor detail it works out for him?

A vegetarian who doesn't like vegetables. I thought I'd heard it all.

On a more serious note, this guy needs mental help asap. This is not just a kid who doesn't want to eat his broccoli.

"Ethical reasons" probably means he doesn't agree with something having to die so that he can eat. Cows don't have to die in order to make cheese.

I don't know what kind of cheese you eat but I only eat cheese in which the cow must die for it to be made.

He's gonna die. Seriously. You can't eat like that every day and not have something go wrong with you eventually.

I just developed type 2 diabetes and the complications from it can be deathly serious.

that's wrong. There are many way more extreme cases where the body just apapted itself perfectly to the "unusual" diet.

best example is the "only raw meat since years" dude:

according to doctors he visited he is not only super healthy and has no shortcomings at all, he also successfully cured his diseases.

I've been vegetarian almost 5 years. I never stopped eating meat due to taste, I used to love steak and hamburgers.

Nearly 10 years here, fuck I miss spam and tuna. Like that guy in the article I also not into veggie, instead of pizza addiction I had problem with rice. There are nothing else for me to eat, I changed my diet lately and force myself to only eat rice on the weekend. I guess veggie isn't too bad in a wrap if you had enough variety in it.

Dude needs therapy for his childhood traumas asap

Also I hope he doesn't drive seen as he blacks out from low blood sugar. Pretty damn dangerous

Meat doesn't raise blood sugar like bread does and this guy is diabetic. He can die.

Sounds like my girlfriends sister. It's hamburgers, hot dogs and nothing else. If she's drunk she might have a chicken finger, but she eats McDonald's hamburgers and fries and hot dogs exclusively.

Sucks when picking somewhere to go eat with her family.

Soo... I'm guessing the only reason why he isn't totally dead/in supershitty shape already is because the pizza has cheese (so... proteins), some kind of tomatosauce (a lot of different vitamins, fiber & other nutrients) and oregano (which is kind of a superspice with lots of antioxidants), so he's at least not completely deficient in a lot of those things, though I'm sure this kind of monotone & somewhat unhealthy food-habit will catch up to him at some point in the future (well, the diabetes would suggest it already has), as some deficiencies don't necessarily mean you'll see immediate negative results, they might build up and your body will start to fail years or even decades later.

I sure hope he tips his delivery driver.

The Brunswick Stew that he described sounds freakin' delicious.

Man I love pizza, but I don't think I could do it more than once or twice a week. My wife and I used to eat DiGiorno pizza a bit more than we should have. As a result, we packed on many pounds. We're both much better now, though.

I dont know if im jealous or terrified. I freaking LOVE pizza, but idk if i would eat just that for 25 years and beyond.

My friends dad was a vegetarian who only ate potatoes. No meat, no veggies, just potatoes with some other processed crap thrown in from time to time. He was also a crazy old mailman and addicted to Vicodin.

Became vegetarian

If I could, I'd eat pizza every day too. But I like toppings on my pizza and didn't really enjoy being on a vegetarian diet. It'd never work out for me...

I know a guy like this, mid 40s, diabetic, thin as can be.

Eats McDonalds. Every. Single. Day.

Guy has a wife and kids, she cooks amazing homemade healthy meals every night, and she and the kids eat that while he goes and gets a double quarter pounder. Doctors have given him a totally clean bill of health. It's bizarre.
