Interesting, I’ve had a TrackIR forever but yeah, it’s always been pretty janky even when working. Does that thing work for flight sims and stuff?
I was not using the trackIR anymore as the goddamn clip was annoying. Not only did it break (shit build quality), but it was unsightly also on the desk, so I stored it, and then didn't bother as often to use it. Now you just have this attached to monitor once, and it'll always work. It looks sleek and is low profile, unlike trackIR camera which pops out. Nothing attached to headset, no USB cables to your headset, no batteries.
There's a list of games supported and mostly focused on sims but it also goes beyond, with the likes of Hitman 3, Assassin's creed, Kingdom come deliverance, sim racers, etc. I mostly bought it for DCS & Star Citizen. Almost works with MS flight sim, War thunder, Xplanes, IL2.
Immerse yourself thanks head tracking and ye tracking and experience your favorite immersive games like never before including Star Citizen, Euro Truck Simulator, Far Cry 6, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and over 170 more

In Star Citizen it's completely OP as since its fully integrated into the game, you can lock missiles or drop bombs at a target just by looking at them with your eyes.
Some peoples find the eye tracking part a bit finicky in some titles but mostly feedback from like a year ago, it seems to depend on the software version, DCS had trouble initially with the tuning for eyes but I believe it is now patched. In the worst case, the head tracking is legit and almost the same as TrackIR. Eye tracking in the range of 15~20% bias compared to head tracking will fine-tune the movements for HUD.
edit - just checked the patch for DCS (and in general Tobii), "Head positon settings follow current camera orientation" that does the same as Track IR TrueView. So most of the critiques of Tobii from a year or so ago in youtube videos are now gone with the newer software versions.
FaceTrackNoir also was supported by the Tobii devs for support and I believe that software suit push the thing even further for some titles, support top mount of monitor, bigger monitors, curve editors, etc. OpenTrack also supports it. So WIDE range of options to tweak this thing. But most importantly, no freaking clips! No IR on a hat! Can't wait for mine to ship.
