Were still kind of playing this by ear, but it's likely that we'll meet somewhere in town and then just follow the concensus. It's going to be pretty informal, we don't need to make a schedule!

See this is where I fall down, I don't go to the village. I've never been to Star and Garter, I added it because sploatee wants to go.

(According to Google it's Fairfield Street. Good to know.)

Yeah, it's just behind Piccadilly Station and isn't going to be around much longer due to expansions. I've seen a lot of good bands there, it's a massive shame.

Anecdotally also they hosted really good tribute themed nights. Loved their Smiths / Morrissey nights followed by the club's later on.

Not been into Manchester in a while and would be great to shoot the breeze with some GAF types. The Rain bar used to be a favourite of mine, sitting by the canal outside area with a beer listening to great music.

Bring it on and many pics of us in daylight / nighttime drinking human form uniting!

Evilore - drop your plans, get yourself a flight over and get your Mancunian hat on. We'll get the first round

I feel rejected and shamed and hurt. But come!


Ok my suggestions:

The temple (ex public toilet, amazing drinks and jukebox but small and smelly which I like :) )

Star and garter obvs and it's lovely to see fellow gar and starterians !

Anywhere on canal St but I like vanilla, coyotes, via fossa -and especially alter ego as it has a cheesy and a 'rocky' room which means everyone will be happy and you can dance to Katy Perry and queens of the Stone Age in one night.

Vanilla and coyotes are mostly girls' bars so we'd have to see what our demographic is. And obvs they're all places for queer folk so obvs if people aren't up for that that's fine.

I like Naps but it's mostly a transvestite bar so if people aren't up for that then that's fine of course.

We can have a few round to ours first but we'd need names and passport IDs first. We do have video games tho so it'd be fun to have some 4 player Mario kart before going out :)

Unfortunately I cannot make it, I am booked to socialise with other British young folk on that weekend.

I am of course upset that I can't go, mostly because it will mar my near perfect history for meet attendance.

Aww man. This sounds awesome, but it's literally like, 4 days before my first payday so Manchester is like, impossible to get to. Curse you northerners >:[

How does this work? I mean, is everyone allowed to come or just users that know each other? Either way I'm unfortunately out of the country by then, hopefully there's a meetup in London one day since it's closer to Coventry.

We do a lot of meet ups in London and all are welcome. Keep and eye and come along when you can, it's always a good time

Nah man, Deansgate Locks is for the kiddies, I only stuck Rebellion down to please the metal heads. And even then Grand Central is more likely as we'll probably be on Oxford Road at some point anyway.
