They did, but those were much smaller events. But there is precedent for Sony doing this sort of thing, just not on this scale.

Shu: Yes, wasnt that last of us footage amazing, well you can play it right now because it releases now on PSN and tomorrow for retail.

That is a pretty neat thing, I can imagine that getting some good applause.

The die hard fans will, but most sales will be newcomers to the series, for people who have never played it, it will probably feel like a really good PS4 game.

This just makes no sense. An ambiguous release date following the original announcement, but it was tired to a preorder bonus. These things are usually offered to add incentive to a purchase. But then why not put a summer 2014 date on it? Why not show more than the teaser to this point? No media, the only date given was the end of the year, and a preorder bonus that will be made useless with a surprise release. Huh? What am I not getting? PEACE.

I buy blurays all the time for movies I already own on DVD. I know it's not exactly the same thing since blurays are significantly cheaper, but it's the same principle. I like a better looking experience.

I upgrade my PC to see how my old games will look and play, no joke. Getting more parts soon and will go back to old games yet again. I had Crysis 1 for years and I'm at the point that it can't even use up my PC capabilities (darn core limitation).

Rebuying a game is not as good as a backwards compatible PC game though. Good thing for me that I never had TLoU and I have a PS4.

1) It was my favorite game of last generation and one of my favorite games of all time
2) My PS3 is dead so I have no way of playing it again
3) I like replaying good games
3) I want to enjoy the graphical and performance updates
4) I haven't played the Left Behind DLC yet, which is included in this
5) I'll get to play more of the multiplayer with all the new maps
6) Audio commentary for the cutscenes
7) There is a new difficulty mode that sounds like it changes things up quite a bit

Is that really crazy?

If the Last of Us is coming so soon, I wonder if they have something else up their sleeve for the back half of the year.

Just please don't let it be God of War: Ascension Remastered. =/

I only played it through once.

It looks a lot better.

Runs a lot better.

I never tried the MP.

Or even bought the DLC.

I think it'll do better than that. This is targeting a lot of former Xbox owners who are just now converting to PS4 and thus didn't have a chance to play this last gen. Add in the hype around the game and I can see it doing very well.

i still play it from time to time but for me all the infamous games get boring pretty fast. the only other game i have on ps4 is nba 2k14 which i play a few matches on my career every other day. the rest of the games i bought on pc but im away from home and my pc till july so all i have with me is my ps4 and i have no interest in watch dogs.

I won't be eexcited with a GOW Ascension Remastered.
But with a GOW III&Ascension the thing would be different.
