Alpha gave me a lot of confidence in the game.

I am actually looking forward to the bizarre sci-fi fantasy plot line of destiny.

Can't wait to go to the moon and find more wizards.

The Destiny Alpha finally made me feel at home on the PS4. Only one month till the beta! Less than three months till launch!

I felt much the same. Specifically, I expected the campaign portion to be barren and the versus to have me blasting enemies with nerf bullets. I was shocked to discover that the campaign feels fleshed out and the weapons all felt appropriately powerful.

It was fun. In the 20 minutes up until the extension at midnight, everyone at the tower was in a circle and we took turns dancing in the middle. I made a bunch of friends with randoms I invited on my journey. Hours spent with Gaffers in the MP. Very memorable community and visuals for an Alpha test.

Man... I read earlier today while at work, the Alpha has been extended. I just got home a while ago hoping to get one more fix of Destiny only to see that its down :(.

Now I gotta settle for crummy Battlefield Hardline.

I had received 2 codes to try it out. One from a friend and one from an email from Sony. I downloaded it, but I was slammed with work and had to go into the office over the weekend thinking I could try it out tonight.

For anyone that feels sad that its gone, feel better knowing that it will only be better when the beta and eventually full release come.

Is the new thing this generation for shooters to limit communication strictly to parties? Killzone and the Hardline beta have the same setup as Destiny. No open mics or text chat support at all. Am I missing something?

Yup. I finished Watch_Dogs and TR2013 before E3 week started, and it looks like I'll have to go back to my PS+ back catalogue until the beta comes out. At least PS3 has a fairly solid community still playing Payday 2...

Fuck Overkill/Starbreeze for not supporting the console version of this game, when PC is still getting new DLC for it.

But what if this was just a elaborate ploy by activision? The alpha was to perfect to actually be an alpha. What if they just spent a great deal of time making a amazing small slice and the rest is total garbage. Activision wants our money! Run I say! Run for hills!

I'm pretty bored right now. I need more destiny.

I think it was a great experience. I went from not bothering because it's a console shooter to pre-ordering on Amazon.

I only played 15 minutes or so before I turned it off. I just wanted to get a feel for what it was like and not really spoil myself on it... and I still don't know how I feel about it - good or bad.

I have this horrible feeling that any games I play between now and September 9th won't be appreciated as much as they should be. Though I'm really looking to the TLOU Remaster, I can't wait to experience that game again. But that late June-July drought will be brutal...

I managed to find the cool cave with the ?? level enemies and the giant Ogre on my last session, great way to close out the beta.

I think what Alpha did more then any other beta or pre release play I have had in the past was make me more excited for a game. I've been watching closely to the news of Destiny and I was excited, but after the Alpha this is to the top of my must have list. Was a great way to bring anyone that isn't sure about the game back in.

I'm really hoping for one or two new story missions and another strike.

It was a damn fine demo, that's for sure. Most likely gonna go preorder it soon, I had such a nice time.

Awwwww. I took a break before trying the strike again with my new character. Oh well. I got all three classes to 8 and scored some nice gear. Not sure what I'm gonna play now tho. I was very ambivalent going in but had an absolute blast. Been a long time since a game hooked me like that. This was also special for being my very first online experience! Always been a solo or local player so this was really special for me.

Definitely a solid showing by Bungie. The alpha ran surprisingly well and the fact they were able to change game modes in MMO while servers are populated (as shown by Alpha in overtime)

Anyone else love the Crucible as much as I do?! There are some balance issues for sure, but damn it's so fun, especially the moon map with the vehicle mayhem and getting heavy ammo to rocket vehicles to oblivion.

I had a wonderful time. Riding my sparrow, shooting things, watching people drop in/out. I'd say I didn't get used to the PvP because I was busy just kind of drifting. It was beautiful! Smooth as hell for an Alpha, can't wait for the July Beta! And then September!
