Got my 4th Supra Primary Tool last night, went with Goldsmith. Mastercraft & Fieldcraft III Demimatetia selling for less than 500K on the MB on Ultros.
Besides a sense of completion is +10 Craftsmanship & +5 Control worth 6.5 million a tool? Soon they will be sub 200K and I might just buy the rest of them at that point lol

When I finally equipped my rank 40 axe today I took a look at the market board since I needed some of those for it. Nope nope nope.
I do have a full spiritbonding set ready to go - my old GAF PVP night set. It's useless now since if we do more 4v4s we can just use the ilvl sync option. On that subject queues for 50 wolves den weren't too bad at all - got two matches after 10-15 minute wait times each. Which isn't much worse than it was before, although tuesdays were always fast.
Frontline queues suck but at least on tuesdays Maelstrom seems to dominate. Easily got my 3 wins, and in my last match we got a 5-cap. The Immortal Shame ended that match with under 500 points.
I did some asking around and it seems that rank 30+ players are getting very common now. I see no reason why they can't offer an unsynced frontline soon, since it doesn't take long at all to hit rank 30 and there is little difference between the 90 and 100 pvp sets. Give it appropriately higher rewards and people will do it - I saw plenty of ungeared folks in level 50 wolves' den who didn't care.

So I did the Moogle questline finally and
I like that they had the bosses from some of the fates as characters in some of the quest telling there side of the story
I did some frontlines with a few of the high-ranked Twin Adder PVPers on Ultros last night and we won every time. It is nice when the group knows when to push, retreat, or distract the opposition away from a node. I like being a cleric stance SCH with Selene, so I can pump out that DPS and help out the real healers with Leeches when they need it.

Just submit the in-game application for your main and put a note that we can remove your old character and include the name. I'm not sure about the character limit for the note but you can abbreviate and make it short.
Something like "Already in FC. Replacing <OLD CHAR NAME HERE> with this char."

Took three full runs and three in-progress runs, but I got my pants out of CT2 and have no reason to go back for another week. Rolled 90 on the minion, lost to a 99, cannot cope with that disappointment again this week.
So many people in all myth gear now; can't tell if it's people gearing up alt classes or what, but last night was the first time I was in a group that almost failed the last Xande DPS check. Also I think they can solve the tank shortage issue by just letting bards spec into tank/heals. So. many. bards.

Welcome to the beauty of hunts.
There are a crapload of us.
In the early days of hunts, GAF got a reputation--which I believe to be mostly unearned, but I wasn't there--of pulling monsters for hunts before everyone arrived to horde all the rewards for themselves. This got compounded by GAF being GAF and joking in /shout about "dammit GAF" whenever somebody (not us) pulled early. People pull early all the time now, and we get blamed.
Hunts being srs biz, GAF is now sort of a whipping boy for bad behavior. It's stupid, ignore it, most people don't care, but some people will be dicks about it because this is the internet.
AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!! Oh lawd *wipes a tear* HA HA HA HA HA.
Post-patch, I thought it was unearned as well. After some of the chatter in the LS on Monday (from only 1 or 2 mind you), I'm not so sure it is.

Ever since The Hunt was introduced in patch 2.3, many players have started to single out our FC for various reasons. We were at one time, and might possibly still be, the largest and most powerful FC on the server. We are also a fairly exclusive Free Company as we only accept NeoGAF members and their associates. This unfortunately garners a lot of hate and jealously. People really want to besmirch our name. Most of what you hear about us is completely false. As for our own members, the drama you see people taking about in this thread is blown completely out of proportion and often interpreted incorrectly. People like to joke around a lot but those that are not privy to what is actually happening might take those comments the wrong way.
We are the mightiest FC in Ultros by a fair margin. Which kicks ass. So many tells of... "How can I join you guys?". So cute. Its a shame the chat isn't always active as I love the social aspect, but we can usually gather groups.
As for me, I am thinking of forming a small. noobish static so we can run the coils from T1 up to T5. If anyone from Ultros/FC wants to join then let me know and we can create a Linkshell and work from there. Really want to run them and experience them my way; the more experienced groups usually shun newbies so what better way than to learn with those who are new, and learn from our mistakes, etc. So, hit me p here, quote me, PM me, send me a tell in the FC, etc.

I would be very interested in this! Unlocked the T1-T5 coils last month but haven't even attempted to try them yet. Would be fun to go through it with other peeps in the same situation. In-game character: Sydney Madison

GAF is the largest and most powerful FC on Ultros (and 5th in the overall FC rankings), and it's fairly exclusive; to join the FC you have to join the forums. It was inevitable many would come to hate it.
GAF is the FC equivalent of the Garlean Empire.

As someone who put my GLD on hold at 28 I am in the same boat. Too stressful for now especially using DF. Decided to try THM and enjoying the change. Want to do BLM and Bard. Don't care if there's a lot of em because they sound fun.
Crafting is a fun break too. But yeah, I know the feeling of not knowing which class u want to be.

Any "battle gear" (aka gear that has battle secondary stats, not control or gathering) has a chance to give any of the battle stats materia IV. I think gear of il 70 guarantees a IV materia, but that is difficult to sb (only on CT) and expensive, so most people sb il 45-55 gear, that has a fair chance of getting a IV. Of course you'll get lots of III and elemental materia in as well.
I could do this but I'm a hoarder. I never sold any materia, even when I realized I didn't needed any of my IV materia for my melded botanist gear.

In my experience weapons and shields seem to have a much higher chance than armors/accessories.

would have won though some smart way that doesn't break the game, like a well-timed peace treaty that forces the allies to turn their attention to the primals, his actual objective, while sowing the seeds that would ultimately destroy them. That would make one hell of a story to follow up.

I was referring to the type not the grade of materias. So I believe all weapons have a chance at the red type (CRIT/ACC/DET), in addition to the main attribute(s) associated with the class that uses it (DEX for bows, INT for staff/brands, MND for canes/wands), as well as the secondary stats (Parry for tank weapons, Skill Speed for DoW, Spell Speed for DoM). I don't remember seeing elemental materias at all, but that could just meant I was lucky, doesn't mean it's 0%.
Regardless, I believe that weapons have a smaller table of materias each type can get compared to armors, especially in terms of the main attributes.
