No, it's how you press the control stick. Not all the way / calmly => tilt. Smash it from neutral to all the way => Smash attack. Smash attacks can also be charged for moar powar.

Completely different attacks.
Press a direction and button at once = smash.
Either lean or hold a direction and press a button = tilt.

With Megaman, you can often combo into up tilt after a down throw. When opponents go off the stage, try to chase and spike them with j.d+A

Some of these lesser known Thai players are pretty solid too.

Yeah. It is hard to explain, but when an enemy is knocked a little beneath the stage, you want to try and hit the character with the projectile that comes out. If you do, it will slam them down for a KO. Works every time. It works better on characters with slow recovery, like Villager. Pikachu is the hardest to hit because of how fast Quick Attack is.

Trying to get a hang of Mega Man so far. Supposedly your supposed to zone with him, which I believe since has aerials have butt landing recovery. Crash bomb is pretty bad at keeping people out since it's hit stun is delayed. Metal blade is good. Leaf shield is so damn slow and you can't do anything else once you activate it, I was hoping I could leave it on and throw a blade or use he p shooter or something but you have to fire the shield or wait for it to go away. Also slow to put on and shoot. I don't like his bair at all. Up air, fair, dsmash and fsmash all seem real good though. Not a fan of p shooter replacing ftilt but for his nair it could be OK.
Controls are dumb. Don't know why grab is L and shield is R. Also weird to do up anything with circle pad. Need a second stick
Pivot ftilt is so good. Can seemingly do it at anytime during a dash even initial dash. Can't get it going for up/down tilt/smash.

Bair is actually a his best side aerial for KOs. Fair never gains good knockback. P shooter is actually his best neutral tool, it seems. Once or twice I was able to perfectly space myself so that I could grab right as the AI was blocking a shot.
Leaf Shield seems ads.
Metal Blade is good.
Crash Bomb sucks because it can transfer onto you if you get too close to the opponent. I hope there is a trap variation in his custom moveset. However, it has good range, and you can't spam Metal Blade, so it works as a ranged filler.
Feel a good, yah? I got 5 KOs against a lvl 9 AI with Megaman just now. Felt so good!

Dash forward and then immediately input a ftilt in the opposite direction.
Do a dash, then do a tilt in the opposite direction you were dashing in. Works with smash attacks too.
