Patcher has been predicting the impending MS takeover of the U.S market for ages now. Even went as far as to scoff at Sony's ignorance of MS holiday plans. The suggestion being that the deals are SO BIG, even Sony is a bit rattled.

So if I predict Patcher is wrong do I make the headlines? These articles are always fun - "what if Patcher is right?" You can see it in the conservative responses that refrain from lambasting the puppet.

? This makes no sense. Wasn't that the case for the PS4 White Destiny Bundle? Here where I live every retailer had the white Destiny PS4 with game included for 399€ which is the regular price for a PS4 without a game.

The Xbone couldn't outsell the PS4 with packed in TitanFall and sub $450~ish deals with tons of random stacked on extras like a copy of Forza 5 or a year of Live. Madden bundle isn't going to change shit.

This. If Titanfall bundle OR the Madden bundle didn't help overtake PS4. I somehow fail to see how all of a sudden now with a one week promotion for the XB1 that it would overtake the PS4 by 75k in a 5 week month. Logic would tell you the PS4 outsold it.

Unless something major happened and people just stopped by PS4's in favor of the XB1

I think with the impact of the Kinectless version of the X1 will have pushed sales up, it may be enough to cause a spike to push it over the PS4 sales for Sept but it will just be a spike, i think the Dec sales are more important, you have the people themselves buying a console & also you have the ones santa

I will eat my hat if this happens. Months of pre-orders for white sku and insane marketing by Sony for Destiny. Not to mention that normal base sales for PS4 have been quite bit higher than for Xbone during quiet months. I just don't see it happening.

Pachters reasoning is the white PS4 cannibalized sales from the base PS4 model. 250K is almost no change week over week for PS4 sales.

I believe he will be proven heavily wrong come Thursday but that is his basis for the prediction.

i herd from a friend of a co-workers husband who works at gamestop had a few people coming to buy PS4s but then when he told them the xb1 has had like five os updates in the time that the ps4 has had zero firmware updates they got real mad stormed out then walked right back in and bought xbones. phil spencer effect

I believe we had reports from our resident Best Buy guy in the NPD predictions thread that White PS4 bundle elevated the PS4 to a point where it's selling extremely well and while Xbone is also selling well it's not selling -as- well as PS4.
