I think in both cases MS will get the opportinity to stay exclusive for a certain amount of money to the studio/publisher.
If they are willing to pay that we shall see.

You remember Zampella's reaction to the exclusivity announcement? I have no idea where you're getting this Respawn/MS love-in idea from.
Respawn are a tiny developer who were hoping to get in early and establish a franchise, they've been fucked over by MS moneyhatting the game.
I do remember it. I also realize that Zampella is a great actor and PR man.

And based on this I believe that MS will just talk to EA and not Respawn if they want TF2 ... it seems Respawn themselves have not much to say in the matter.

I couldn't care less about whatever relationship there is between Ms/Respawn but i find it very difficult to believe Zampella had no idea what EA were doing Respawn's IP.

I've had that feeling about SO. Do we have any sales figures yet, or reasonable estimates? Seems to me that it did moderately, but will probably sink quickly in UK & EU due to coming out at a very busy time against a lot of bigger established brands.

It wasn't that Respawn didn't know EA had the publishing rights, they just didn't know EA canceled the PlayStation ports until shortly before MS announced the life-long exclusivity, which was because the deal literally didn't exist until just before Respawn were told.
Just after, they confirmed it would not happen again, that their next game would be on PS4, and during E3 their community manager also confirmed TF2 for PS4.

Give good numbers few days before NPD where they will be second is a good idea.
googling "titanfall 2 on ps4" has produced alot of interesting reading. one in paticular that Respawn has become fond of the PS4, certainly inspires hope for future titles. also i saw some articles similar to what you said. nice!!!
Titanfall coming to PS4 in some way would be one of the best things for me!

I suspect there won't be a GTA6 till next generation. I believe GTAV will be an open world game on nearly every platform and cross playable with DLC and micro transactions keeping it fresh. Something like an earlier version of the PS3 Home and GTAIV where bowling, card games, casinos, stores, racing games, hunts, puzzle games and more are all part of the same open world.
