Just the fact that it is G1, Cell-shaded got me pumped.
The fact that a decent developer is behind it makes me even happier.
Japanese Beast Wars series that has little to do with Beast Wars and introduced some of the most fucked-up Transformers ever.
Presenting Heinrad, the first Transformer to ever have exposed testicles.
You guys do know that a $60 retail release is going to have a bigger budget than a $15 downloadable game, right? Like, Activision still won't give them a huuuuuge budget but it'll be significantly more than Korra's.
Looking forward to the one-on-one boss fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron at the end of the game.

All you complainers have no idea how big this is for G1 Transformers fans. Just be happy for us. We've NEVER had a Transformers game with our favorite versions of these characters come to North America.
There's a reason I said "the first" and not "the only".Michael Bay?
Why are so many people disappointed? I don't understand.
Mah, Japan. I have a booklet somewhere where this sucker is advertised like there is no tomorrow.Michael Bay?

G1 transformers game made by Platinum... Day 1!
Between this and that Toy Soldiers game getting He Man and GI Joe, I'm going to be revisiting my childhood this fall.
Man, you took one of the better examples too, a picture from the movie.I grew up with Beast Wars and the Japanese series (RiD, Unicorn Trilogy, etc), but I still think the game looks awesome visually. Let's get something clear, though. G1 transformers never looked at all close the this game. The robot designs are clearly G1 based, but they've still been tweaked, updated and thrown into a cell shaded art style. This is what G1 looked liked.
The show looked cheap and kind of awful. Characters were off-model half the time and they couldn't even keep relative size or colors consistent. This game is what the show looked liked through nostalgia glasses, but the original is hard to watch for how badly animated it is. I still love it, though.
I wonder if the lack if PC version is due to the retail source at the moment.
Case in point, I can't find a retail version for Fall of Cybertron.
Also guarantee this game BOMBA
It's fucking Activision they don't care about PC or they would have put Destiny on there.I wonder if the lack if PC version is due to the retail source at the moment.

I'm excited for this. I wonder if they can get the same voice actors for those other than Optimus (I'm assuming they'll get Peter Cullen).
See
Think positive people.
Why do few people here not see the awesomeness in punching Devestator in the face?

Konami killed their high-profile and expensive in-house Metal Gear developer to re-focus on mobile, so OF COURSE they were going to hire a third-party developer to a make a high profile and expensive Metal Gear game. It makes perfect sense!
lol.

But after reflecting on it, I think posters like me, will realize this could be amazing. And Platinum + Transformers is actually a great fit. And this could be HUGE for Transformer fans. Not everything is about what you want.
Just imagine this scenario
Only instead of Rules of Nature, it's The Touch.
bad: After the tease several months back, MGR2 was most likely canned within the Konami fallout recently.
bad>good (although admittedly, that has less to do with the transformers game itself)
This HAS to be in the game. Last boss fight music.
