I do hope it keeps some of the lighthearted moments of the original and is not all grimdark like advent children.

Cloud was a mopey dope for a lot of the game but at its core there were themes of overcoming loss, moving past grief, etc.

The game really should be a celebration of life, not a dark gloomy nightmare.

But there were lotsa good things introduced ya know? It wouldn't make sense to toss Genesis in there cause he's "dead" and Cloud was out cold whenever he was around so he'd never know about it anyway.

Would Cissnei as an optional party member after Aeris kicks it be the worst thing ever? Would a note ya may not even find in Shinra HQ hinting about Deepground be the worst? Would optionally being able to visit the Wutai Castle/Ruins of Banora/etc. be horrid?

Just like many others here, I've rewatched the trailer a few times and I am still trying to grasp that it's actually happening.
I would think they're aiming for a 2017 release to coincide with the 20th anniversary. I will be looking forward to it.
I wonder if they'll remaster the soundtrack (again!) lol, the soundtrack for AC was pretty great in my opinion.

tbh, this trailer felt more like the Versus stuff than any of the FFXV we've seen since TGS.

Either way, if there's one thing I don't worry about is gameplay from a Nomura game. And considering the story is still being handled by Nojima himself, I'd say this was a pretty smart move.

Can't wait!
