Yeah, this is probably either Z, or not what they're revealing tomorrow. I could definitely see this being Z with how Game Freak has been talking about third versions recently.

Kalos confirmed as worst region

That's a fact for many years already.

We don't know if you they are. This is a trademark, it's not necessarily connected to the direct

I hope so, because fuck that.

They probably think having an entirely new generation is a better way to celebrate the anniversary with fans rather than simply having something like Pokemon Z.

I hate Kalos and I'd rather have Pokemon Z than lock another generation on the 3DS.

Many of us don't wish to replay an entire three year old game because 'cool post-game'.

'Cool post-game' is what keeps the game alive to me, so yes, I would gladly replay X/Y if they had one.

It's starting to look more and more like a XY sequel though

Too many hints indeed. But they could bring the sequel concept even further than what they did with BW2. Like the south of Kalos is as big as the north, you first discover the south then the North, or east then west, west then east, with 50% of the champions renewed, same for the league, new heroes, bigger story, content and quests everywhere, a new Paris-like, then a small post-game region with 3 to 5 cities/islands/whatever. Maybe some new Pokémon but that would be weird since they need to push the Megas. I'd like to see a different set of starters too but that won't happen.

And I don't see how this would be unrelated to the reveal tomorrow. It's real.

Considering lack of "cool post-game" has been one of the big reasons why people love crapping on Gen VI so much, I assume it was a big marketing point for the people here at NeoGAF.com
You'd think but I feel as though a lot of people would be ultimately disappointing unless the shake-up is major. The post-game elements are always fun but many of us completed the Pokedex years ago.

Well Emerald and Platinum we bigger overhauls than that, and most people did love the third version
Would Z be a better game than XY? Yes. Do I want them to have spent three years perfecting a game I have already bought? No. I would rather those years be spent making something new.

Platinum, Emerald and BW2 are all better than their originals but I was either young or hadn't properly played their original. Honestly, it's time for something new.

'Cool post-game' is what keeps the game alive to me, so yes, I would gladly replay X/Y if they had one.
But would you prefer it?

If it is X2/Y2 I'd like it if the Zygarde Core was our starter.

But would you prefer it?

I would. Three games in a row with really bad post games would suck.

Kalos is such a lame region.

I hope they massively reform it or move away entirely.

The overworld has gotten progressively worse since Sinnoh.

For what it's worth I have never in my 31+ years of life heard anyone in real life say Zed instead of Zee. In fact the only time I can think of in my entire life that I've ever heard someone say Zed, is in the Star Trek blooper reel where Patrick Stewart sings the ABC Love Song. I know it's anecdotal, but I sincerely doubt that has anything to do with them not calling it "Z".

I've almost never heard "zee" in my entire life outside of the intro to Dragon Ball Z. It really depends on where you live. I do agree that the ability to sell 2 versions would be the reason why they wouldn't use the letter though. Nintendo didn't care in 1998 when the Game Boy Color lacked the u in other English-speaking countries than America. It's just one more reason not to call it Pokemon Z is all.

For those thinking it could be Z split into 2, why would they announce a new pokemon beforehand?

Well who knows. Best to keep our expectations low.

I don't know why people expect this game on NX so soon. They do realize Game Freak is still developing the series right?
Maybe if the series had a different developer
Thanks amigo!

What's giving that indication?
A few pages back there was a discussion on the sun and moon dials in XY that were never explained along with the giant crystal in Anistar City. There's also thr two revealed Zygarde cores that recharges in the sun. I feel like I'm forgetting more too

I expect it to be Z split in two, which in itself would be awesome.

Is the anime worth watching these days? Or is it still Team Rocket/anything popping up every episode trying to screw up Ash and co?

It can be presumed that NX will be markedly more advanced than the 3DS, and Game Freak may not be able to cope with that right away.

They won't start developing on the engine when the NX launches (whatever the fuck that will be, and how the form it'll take will impact the shape of Pokémon games)

I would be surprised if these didn't have new Pokémon in them, no matter what else.

I don't buy the Zygarde rumours, not least because Perfect Zygarde is still GROUND/Dragon.

If, at the end of the day, we've got a new pair of games, with new Pokémon and a new region... Well, that's a new generation, no matter how many connections it has to the last one.
