Final Fantasy XV launches September 30th, demo today w/ Carbuncle unlock, has combat

The demo definitely seems to be more of a graphical showcase than a complete representation of the combat system based on the short trailer we have for it.

I'm looking forward to it. I want to feel that Final Fantasy sense of wonder again. Wash away Toriyama's sins, Tabata.

Also, poor S-E. A leakier ship than Sony, it seems.

Guys, I suspect that if you're a true fan there will be more at this event than a release date... There will probably be onstage interviews with lead developers, story trailer, maybe a gameplay demonstration, and other small nods and celebration.
Of course anybody not watching now are kidding themselves, i still expect game play, story, boxart, collectors edition, maybe a special ps4 etc

Sep 30th is a friday. PlayStation games come out on tuesdays.

So you're doubting it's real because games typically come out on tuesday? Really? It's a worldwide release. Dark souls 3 came out on a thursday in japan. Was that release not real?

Wow, leaks are getting crazy. Left nothing on the bone for SE at their own show. Brutal. They don't even get to announce the release date.

Fucking up is one thing, but not even removing that video is just..

but then again, I expect no decency from Gamespot for months now.

Why did the fact that Carbuncle is in the demo need to be in the thread title? How is that essential information for a thread title?

It's not like the Duscae surprise summon, the demo is centered around Carbuncle and apprently it appears in the demo's PSN store icon

I think it sucks that these leaks are ruining some of the surprises in store for the event. I'm driving about 2 hours (maybe a bit less) down to LA to attend it with my friends. I don't think they'll catch wind of the spoilers. I suspect there will be more to the event than just those individual announcements, so it should still be interesting.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???

You hacked Gamespot and uploaded the video on YouTube Nibel.

Don't act like it wasn't you.

If these relatively meagre details are enough to keep you from watching the event, you would've been better off just reading about the details on any game news site afterwards in the first place.

Things leak because publishers share information with the media beforehand. Makes me wonder about NX where Nintendo is probably not talking to video game journalist and sites at all so things aren't leaking.

There's no law that says they have to come out on Tuesday. They can release whenever they want. I seem to recall Little Big Planet came out on a Saturday. The media industry in general (books, home video, games, etc.) prefers Tuesday because the sales tracking system is keyed to that day.

I honestly thought people were being sarcastic when they were being angry that a release date leaked. We're people honestly planning on watching a show purely because they were going to tell you which day a game was coming out on?

Watching an event for a trailer or additional information makes some sense but watching it so you know what day you can buy it on seems extremely odd. I can't imagine this happening in any other medium. Would anyone be like "I was going to watch the new Star Wars movie preview event but now that I know what day it comes out I don't want to watch anymore"
