I was somewhat entertained, at least...
Okay, honest question here (and I stress I'm not trying to start shit) why all the fervor for footage of the game? I'm a pokemon fan and am watching this alongside many of you but... you know what the game is going to be. Perhaps more than any other game series you know what it will be. So why all the excitement and now, disappointment?

I almost feel sorry for anyone who stayed up/woke up for this. But if you've been involved in pre-release pokemon game advertisement then you should now this is how things work.
I'm still feeling that we won't get any significant blowout until around e3 like with oras. Maybe starters or cover legends that's it.

Unless the 6.5 generation theory is true and there is only a handful of new pokemon in this game, maintaining the starters from X & Y.

I don't disagree. Some people are just very ignorant and arrogant.
Given that this is Game Freak we're talking about, I still doubt it. I'd love to be wrong, though. But given that the console is likely coming out before the handheld, I still have reason to believe that Sun/Moon will remain 3DS-only.

I didn't see the stream. Did they say "at least 10 new Pokémon"? Does that mean the actual number is going to be close to that and thus, this really is Gen 6.5 (and probably some kind of X2/Y2)? If they bother to create new starters and then there are new cover legendaries, that's 11 new Pokémon.

He meant a 3DS/NX cross-gen release. But I do share your skepticism. Trev would have likely been told about a cross-gen mainline Pokémon game if it was happening.
