Your PS4 browser opens and takes you to it. I'm sure you could do the survey on your desktop.

Thanks. I'm really interested in what they ask. Hope they don't pull a mobile bait and switch on me like last time lol

So why are they re releasing this again? New game in the pipeline?

Yep, Azure Revolution.

Also testing the waters on console. Since they already got their numbers and data from PC consumers. Dunno how successful this venture will be.

Any chance you can drop a link to it here? I'd love to fill it. More Valkyria presence, the better.

Yup. Valkyria Azure. Entirely different from Chronicles as it's an RPG this time instead of strategy-based. Hopefully hear of it coming west at E3.

Sorry, I'm on a mobile so haven't had chance to fully digest the thread, but is there a comprehensive post or guide to beginner tips for this game? Chances are I'll only play this once so I'd like to achieve as much as possible.

The game's pretty straightforward and teaches you everything as you go, there's not much to add in a guide for beginners.

Tip 1: Don't care about ranks. Relax and enjoy yourself trying things out. Falling behind with leveling is nearly impossible and is easy to make up. To put this in perspective, if you C-Rank every mission in the game, you'll only be 2 levels behind if you had A-Ranked every mission.

Tip 2: Don't ignore the in-game tutorials. Pay attention to messages from your commander mid-mission, they contain hints for how battles will progress. Especially Chapter 7.

Tip 3: If you're having trouble because strategy is not your thing, level Engineers to level 6 so you unlock "All Units Defend" order, which trivializes many missions if you use it before your turn starts.

Everything else is discovery, so good luck.

And this survey is only on the digital version of the game?
Can anyone confirm that there is a survey link with the official physical copy?

As you can tell, I'm rather shocked.
There's nothing in the box (US version). I have not tried loading the game yet, though. There might be something there.

I'd like to think I've covered a good number of tips on my post on the first page

Just filled out the survey, it's one of the overview options on the game tile. They seem pretty aware of why people would be filling out this survey btw. ;)

Does it go into the web browser and can you fetch a link?

Us on PC must make our voices heard on Valkyria Chronicles 3.

My amazon order just delivered, yayy for my $20 VC remaster!

In regards to that survey watch them see the demand for bringing VC 3 here then precede to release a VC2 remaster that bombs and they throw their hands up "We tried, you all dont like VC see" *cue circus music*

Picked up my copy today. It's the same price as other games over here sadly. In fact, I got Uncharted 4 for a lower price! Well, this game is worth $60 for sure so, no complaints. It just shows what happens when there's no official distribution channel.

Woah, what? It's supposed to be a $30 game...if you can, DM me what retailer you got it from so we can get that sorted out.

*edit* Read more of the thread. I'll check in with SOE about their middle eastern distribution... Iran is technically their territory, but I'll make 'em look in to it!

lol

While there have definitely been instances of companies being pretty shortsighted regarding "popularity" and reasons why games failed, I don't think they'd be quite that dumb...

That would be great. With sanctions out of the way, it's about time they set up an official branch over here. Over 60 percent of Iran's 80 million population is under 30. The number of gamers here would boggle your mind! But nobody recognizes their existence for some reason.

I'm sorry if I kinda derailed the thread, guys. This has been on my nerve since forever :(

Didn't know this had a steelbook. Just picked it up and was pleasantly surprised!

Glad you were at the top of the thread, because I was just about to post this. What a surprise!

Never played VC before (buy it for the PC, but it crashed and I'm now on a Surface), so I'm excited to jump in!

The crying at work part, I mean.

Anyway, honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about VC2. There's no way it'd be remastered first. The only way I see that coming is as a pack-in with VC3, ala FFX-2 HD being with FFX HD (The real event people came for)

And, I mean, when VC1 got re-released on PC, all the VC2 threads on Sega's forum got thrown in the Memory Hole. They know people don't like VC2.

Damn. That would've been an excellent show of support from Sega's western branches if they had localized the demo and created an English feedback survey for it. Oh well, what's done is done.

Does this mean that the western PS3 version did also include all original DLC?

Incorrect. Not sure why that phrase is there as there's only one version of the Remaster on consoles, the PS4 one.

Never played this before, but I've seen all the Gaf hype. Is the Story generally considered to be good? Considering going to grab this now

I picked up the only two copies that were received my local Best Buy. They even had to pull them from the back since they were never put on the sales floor.

Steel book copies BTW.

Here's the survey.

http://valkyria.sega.com/vcr/survey/

I don't know if it would be wise to spread it too far because it could potentially get filled with junk data, but this is the internet and I'm well aware of what will happen eventually, so might as well start the spread here.
Thanks

So basically I said I'm curious about VCIII and would like to play it, but no longer on PSP. I don't want anything like VCII again. However the first Valkyria Chronicles was amazing and I'd love another one in that style.

I want to get this but no one can describe to me how it plays and the videos don't really help. It looks like real-time Fire Emblem crossed with Ni-No-Kuni. I'm just not sure.

Incorrect. Not sure why that phrase is there as there's only one version of the Remaster on consoles, the PS4 one.

I think they meant that it wasn't a preorder only bonus so all copies of the Remaster would include all DLC for the game (but it was worded strangely, I'll agree with that).

Thanks for clearing that up. I already own the PS3 version but never played it. Still on the fence whether to invest in the remastered version or not.
