My apologies for my outburst last page. The post I made was in very poor taste and I realize it doesn't contribute anything to poligaf considering the many meaningful posts that are made here. I'm just seriously disappointed in Bernie. Still, his ideals are absolutely worth fighting for, they just need a better messenger and solid platform+policy details.
Let's pretend I haven't been paying attention to politics for a week or two due to a severe post Civ VI announcement-induced Civ V marathon. Can someone quickly catch me up with what this and the 'what kind of loser will Bernie be?' threads? What violence? What misogyny?
"Bernie has disappointed many" me lol

We're about 6 turns away from Hillary being elected World Leader, and Bernie just attacked a 3-pop city of hers with nuclear weapons.

He's a progressive charlatan, a zealot, and a stark failure at being a unifying, intersectional candidate. The sooner people sleep off this hangover the better.

Nevada caucus was held in February. The results of that caucus favored Hillary, which meant roughly a 20-15 delegate allocation.

Nevada county convention caucuses were held in early April. Through gaming the rules and as a result of other errors, more Sanders delegates were counted in the most populous NV county, so it was assumed that the final delegate allocation would tilt 18-17 instead, with Hillary still ahead.

Nevada state convention was held on this past Saturday. With the assumption that there were more Sanders delegates, Sanders delegates attended the convention but made a ruckus over every little thing. Lots of misinformation, accusations of fraud, complaints about the people who ran the convention hits Twitter. The convention gets dragged out for 16 consecutive hours with Sanders delegates constantly surrounding the stage and shouting at the convention people while they were trying to conduct convention business.

Final delegate tally favored Hillary, so the original 20-15 delegate allocation sticks.

The woman who ended the convention at like 11PM NV time, Roberta Lange, had her address and contact information posted to the internet. You can probably guess what happened after that. Aside from harassing her, Lange's workplace was also being harassed, to the point where they had to unplug the phone and are getting bad reviews all over Yelp.

NV State Dem Party issues a very strongly worded statement saying Sanders supporters were out of control. And filed a complaint against the Sanders campaign was stoking the fire, because there were Sanders staff on site at the NV state convention that were basically creating and perpetuating misinformation.

Bernie Sanders is asked about this on camera in Puerto Rico. He straight up turns away and walks off when "Nevada" is mentioned. He issues a press statement repeating the tired old arguments about how the process was bad and basically lifted his bullet points from S4P reddit.

Oh and btw NV was in February. Today we have Oregon and Kentucky primaries.

It's just so absurd that when the turnout for the county conventions favored Sanders you barely heard a peep from Clinton or her supporters, but when the turnout favors Clinton the result is doxxing, death threats and violence.

Thread blew up. I have a feeling today will tip the scales, especially if Bernie loses one/both. That OT thread really turned against him. Some people going to be soul searching. We gonna hit OT6 tonight, probs.

Trump said the United States is treated unfairly in the Paris climate accord, which prescribes reductions in carbon emissions by more than 170 countries. A renegotiation of the pact would be a major setback for what was hailed as the first truly global climate accord, committing both rich and poor nations to reining in the rise in greenhouse gas emissions blamed for warming the planet.

Turning to the economy, Trump said he planned to release a detailed policy platform in two weeks. He said it would dismantle nearly all of Dodd-Frank, a package of financial reforms put in place after the 2007-2008 financial crisis.

"I would say it'll be close to a dismantling of Dodd-Frank. Dodd-Frank is a very negative force, which has developed a very bad name," Trump said.

Donald "Tough on Wall Street" Trump would dismantle Dodd-Frank.

Yea, I think this was the big blow up that will end up bringing his campaign down. The media is going to town on him.

PoliGAF 2016 |OT6| This thread has a 50/50 chance of getting locked.
Mine was similar. Just "indicted" instead of locked.

It's my vote either way.

Btw gang we had six PoliGAF threads in all of 2012. We're about to match that and the year's not even over! Also iirc the last one spilled over considerably into the next year, no one felt like making a new one.

I whinny my fervor lowly, for his length is not as great as those of the Hylian war stallions
This early Clinton lead in KY is weird since there is no early voting.

One can only hope.

Its been over for months, and this past week has finally started showing the financial and campaign staff abandonment part of a campaign winding down, but its happening with a month to go with a candidate who really has no reason to care about party unity (which is the opposite issue that Hilary had in 2008, she was THE life long democratic candidate being forced to step down for the new during a tense primary season). I hope to be proven wrong, but I expect sanders to continue to be stalwart till the bitter end before conceding, how he concedes is anyone's guess at this point but my hunch is it won't be a unity speech among democratic supporters, but a unity speech among progressive ideals and to keep the good fight going forward, he exits the stage and doesn't campaign for anyone during the GE and goes back to being the independent socialist senator from Vermont, the exact opposite reaction that Hilary got praised for during the DNC nominating convention in 2008.

I would love to be proven wrong as a good concession speech would at least return some integrity to Sanders that I used to have. I actually liked him as a senator before he even announced his campaign and wanted him in the race because I found him to be a positive influence, but he hasn't been the messenger I was expecting/hoping him to be.

Please don't make it GG related jokes, that invites all kinds of fuckery and this thread is over it's daily intake of fuckery. Shit ain't healthy.

Honestly I never thought Bernie would bomb out so spectacularly. This will do nothing but solidify his loses in CA, NJ, etc

At this point in the process I honestly think I'd prefer to, in real life, be stuck in the Nexus of Boletaria trying over and over again to beat Flamelurker. At least the ramblings of The Monumental make more sense than policy proposals from the Sanders camp

It will make people that are thinking of voting for him to ditch him. I expect his vote share to be a bit lower than we expect in the remaining states because of what happened over the weekend when those states vote unless something good happens for him before those states vote.

I'm sure it'll be hell on his approval numbers. A lot of people who were chill with the guy aren't anymore.
