Redesigns happen because it reduces manufacturing costs, on top of stimulating new sales. They do model revisions that the consumer doesn't even know about.

A slim is more for people that have never bought a PS4, than people looking to slim down a box that sits on a table all day.

It's about how much they save making it .
10 to 15% smaller still means less cooling , smaller internals etc etc etc .
It also means they can ship more , it takes up less shelf space .

Pretty certain its fake for multiple reasons but the one reason that stands out to me, is the barcode seems to be bled on to the blue out of the white box made for the barcode.

Yup the barcode serial number is what made me change my mind too. Serial number is cut in half. Sony won't make a mistake like that. Definitely fake imo.

When you got something for £0 then £295 is sweet. Usually prices are kept reasonable or lower as to pretty much "tell" buyers they are stolen goods wanting to be offloaded quickly and without fuss.

I mean £295 is going to be above RRP as well no doubt. So there is still some price gouging going on.
