I don't care about it as much as a lot of people seem to, actually. I'm interested in seeing what folks at the press think about it, but as long as it's not some absurdly low metacritic that could only indicate that the game simply doesn't work because of glitches, it's whatever.

Wow, this thread is a rollercoaster. I think we can all agree on one thing: that Shimomura's soundtrack is freaking amazing!

The crystal theme tune from the world map menu is very nice.

I'm just happy square can finally move on from properties that were revealed originally in 2006 after the release of this game. They desperately need a breath of fresh air.

CBOAT had a great track record. His reputation started going downhill after the Titanfall "It's not 720p" thing. MS seemed to really want leaders discredited. I know game development is extremely complicated, but 792p still seems awfully weird to me. He called Scalebound and a bunch of other things beforehand also. Iirc he leaked the 360 specs before reveal also.

That was someone else called 'NTKrnl' who I am convinced was Phil Spencer himself.

Maybe you're right. I don't pay much attention to insiders so maybe I'm mixing things up. Ntkrnl had way too much specific information about MS's upcoming lineup to not be a planned "leak" IMO. I still want that Titanfall XB1 LE.

Looking back at that one game now, it's not hard to guess "Platinum developed game" for pretty much any first party or publisher.

I've completely avoided any music from the game so far, don't want to spoil it. The XIII trilogy was a bit more hit and miss than the masterpiece OSTs of VI-XII but it's still one of the things I'm most looking forward to

Eh, I've never understood the backlash against sex on this site. When it first released, I distinctly recall it winning NeoGAF's GOTY with relative ease. I'm still a fan of sex to this day, even if it has become something of a dark horse opinion, and frankly, food can be terrible.

i watched about half an hour of stream yesterday. i looked really cool!

there was a weird total lack of overworld music for a lot of it, just wondering if the streamer had the music turned off or not. the world itself was a little baren and not having any music at all made it a little dull.

There were 2 music I thinking the first area alone. They weren't loud iirc.

I think it's weak compared to what Xenoblade Wii's overworld music had to offer.

I'm giving benefit of the doubt until a point where I see it the answer to that question elsewhere due to the game being out in Peru. As in, Verendus has until then to prove he didn't make a giant two-post impressions wall of text without having played the game, and isn't feeding me the answer from googling for spoilers on the net.

Shop here in Germany where i live told me they get it 1-2 days before release.
He also told me, the games will be delivered on Saturday, but he closes at 13, if i'm lucky i get one on saturday, he also got the new Pokemon today although it releases on wednesday here.
Check up your stores nearby maybe you are lucky too.

AFAIK, there is only one GAF member that has the game on Xbox One, but he hasn't posted since yesterday.

I was on Discord with some friends reading Verendus' thoughts on the game, and getting generally hyped to all hell.
