don't worry, its not really a problem.A lot of the things introduced in the movie will surely be explained in the game, even if in passing conversation

I'm only 5 hours in. My expectations were very low, but I'm enjoying myself alot here right now. Gameplay is satisfying. Challenging enemies 10+ levels higher than you is surprisingly good combat training.

He finished it. He said he enjoyed it. I think if you're playing this just for the story you might be disappointed but people that have it say the gameplay is really fun. I'm slightly disappointed from the story impressions as well but from what I've played it's still going to be a fun game.

To the person that said it was missing some chapters in the beginning you're right they made it into Kingsglaive. While I appreciate the movie I really don't understand why they couldn't have made it playable. It seems like the story really lacks the gravity of the situation that unfolded in Lucis.

Definitely not playing for the story. Well, it depends on what you consider the story, actually. I do care quite a lot about the in-game dialogue between the main party, be it main story related stuff or just contextual banter while exploring, but I'm not too worried about the plot itself. I care more about optional bosses than that.

I want to know about this too. 30hrs without side quests would be nice. Shorter than that would be a bit too short for my taste for a big JRPG.

The update that is available now has the pro stuff in it when it comes to 4K, hight qulaity, and HDR. 60 fps mode slated for December

If it's a thread dedicated to spoilers, then you're in there for the very purpose of being spoiled. The fun is not ruined for you personally.

The people that are really ruining things are the trolls posting spoilers in comments and chats. Not sure there can be anything done about that though.

You got thousands of replies and views in that thread.This thread+ the other one are having a major influence on the reception of the game & will likely continue to influence discussion well into the future.

It's a hard statement to prove on either side. I don't think there's any actual data con correlation of leaked spoilers with sales.

As for the bolded, that is not necesarily true. They might not want people potentially seeing parts of the game out of context and building their own conclusions before even giving the game a chance of building the required context.

I think Taba-chan is high to say this, or losing his mind, but I don't agree with you on this at all.

Saying "the game is great, guys! :)" is not a spoiler, going on youtube comments and twitch chat of all kinds of games revealing plot points and secrets is a spoiler. That can be damaging to people's enjoyment, no matter if it's good or bad. You seem to think that only watching the whole game on youtube is a spoiler, but that's not the case at all.

Saying **MAJOR ENDING PLOT POINT** doesn't say anything positive or negative about the story, it only ruins the surprise.

AERITH DIES doesn't sell games. I don't think it harms sales either, but it has nothing to do with the game's quality either way.

That's not necessarily true. Like, take TLoU's ending for example. A lot of people were very down on that, but considering the journey that Joel and Ellie went through, most people felt that the ending was justified even if it felt inconclusive. You need the context sometimes to make an accurate judgment. Would you say TLoU is a bad game?

I don't think he'll go after the thread, since it's just people who want to be spoiled. It's most likely streamers and videos of spoilers that people keep uploading.

Also tabby said all that on the ign stream today just in case people don't know.
