Either the ship is going to arrive safely at shore or I'm going down with it. That's how I am loyal to the end.

I'm the same. I've waited long enough to know that I'm here all the way through.

No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid. Just as long as you stand, stand by me.~

Game's not out in Montreal,Canada.

Felt like a beggar going from best buy to ebgames, only to find is not out anywhere 😭

Its just sitting in a storeroom somewhere when it should be played 😭
If you're able to find any copies, could you let me know via PM? I'm also Montreal-based and haven't had my hopes up, but since you mentioned it I thought to ask. Likewise I can let you know if I find something.

You know what, Noct?

Sign me the hell up. I'm not letting bros ride this ship into the night alone. I'm with you. I feel like I spent enough years bracing for some potential disappointment here that I will likely wind up enjoying the game at least to a decent point. I'll go down with the ship if the ship goes down with you.

I think I'm on chapter 4 now. I'm taking my sweet time with the game though, but I haven't done a lot of side quests. The story is a mess that's for sure, but I'm loving the characters, and the voice acting is surprisingly okay. The world is gorgeous and unbelievably huge if you ignore the technical issues, the game really captures the road trip feeling. The gameplay is very fun, and it can get a little challenging inside dungeons just make sure not to over-level and ruin it for yourself. Most of the cutscenes are bad, badly directed and presented, so you should lower your expectations when it comes to cutscenes, sadly.

I have already said it but the game is gorgeous, literally never seen anything like this before, it really feels like your exploring a living breathing world, the first big town I visited was awesome as well.

Final Fantasy knows how to bring everyone together. :,)

Deluxe for the combo movie and game
Saturn edition if you want that cover.

Actually don't like the father/son cover, though it should have the same reversible cover, I guess?
Think I'll also just go with the standard version since I'm not a fan of Yoshitaka Amano's steel book art either.

Too bad the US is stuck with the crappy cover Mat elected to use. JP and the father and son covers are the best... The Amano cover is a mess IMO.

I kind of expected this after reading some initial impressions. As long as the gameplay overall is fun I am all in.

I understand the negativity being something that can get to you, but you should try not to see people being critical as enemies. The game will speak for itself very soon and they're just people on a forum expressing opinions like you or I. A game changing the formula this much is bound to be examined under a microscope.

Yep. It's fine.

Based on the first few chapters? The lack of it is the problem.

There is a story, but it's told terribly. the pacing is all over the place and it feels like something is missing. It's like there are a couple of missing chapters in the beginning.

Don't want to say anything, but the origin of the discs are unclear and you are paying him :/

Dude runs a pawn shop. If they're stolen ifts likely by someone who's selling them to him first.

I'd feel bad if I didn't order the deluxe for the steelbook as a collector's item and the digital premium for the season pass...

Yea. I paid for this game 3 fucking times already. -.-

I'm also picking up my retail copy from BBY on Tuesday like a good boy.

Same problem in Type-0. There's a story in there, but it's told from the wrong perspective.

I obvisouly haven't played the game. I watched the first chapter video and what I got were: bros need to fix the car and Cindy told them to collect shit first, bros need to rent a boat and dude with the boat told them to collect shit first. It seems fun to run around the map fighting mobs and collecting stuff, but that's not story. And yeah I have no doubt something is missing in the beginning. They put the opening into a movie.

(I hope you mean done as in finished and not done as in sick of it)

That's what I thought, too, hahaha. Did they give up on it?

Their last post here, there were some criticism about the story, but it was overall very positive.

I hope the game doesn't get shitty in the second half. I was looking forward to the more linear parts.
