Almost everything that didn't directly involve JJ and kilgrave was awful.
I had wiped these two from my mind. So much awful stuff in JJ. Her neighbors. That whole subplot was dreadful, as well as the Carrie Anne Moss subplot with her wife. Even Luke Cage was kinda lame in the show. So much stuff that was lacking.
David Tennant was the saving grace. Any scene that he was not in was appalling.

I agree with you. Just finished my second watch of it. Diamondback is great to me, but yelling "Can You Dig it" was hella random. He feels like he's from a 70s movie and has a 70s face. His backstory with Luke was great.
I am a bit worried, but I'll still watch it.
I don't think they have auditions for the side characters. That's the only explanation I can think of for how bad him and Foggy are.

It didn't look very good based on the previews clips, so I'm not surprised.
The same dude is doing though The Inhumans though, so I'm worried about the quality of that show now.

Has there even been any marketing push from Marvel on this so far? Show's coming out in a week and I usually see ads and commercials everywhere in NYC by now, and so far there's nothing.

This is the one thing I just don't/can't believe, it just isn't possible to make an Iron Fist show and not have cool fighting. You would have to intentionally sabotage your own show to end up with bad martial arts fighting in a martial arts fighting show.
Was looking forward to this one so these previews are kind of a bummer. Still it's not too surprising, especially considering the Netflix show's spotty track records as of late.
Hopefully its not as boring as JJ, honestly struggled to get through that one as everyone who wasn't Jessica or Dr. Who was either awful or annoying.
I think Luke Cage kind of had the opposite problem, a weak lead but a really strong and likeable supporting cast that saw me through the quality drop in the second half.

7 was good, but mostly because they were finally making good on the promises set in first couple seasons. Once that ran out...ouch

Does someone still have that picture of Marvel's planned movies from some con before Iron Man and the MCU struck gold and they got bought by Disney? IIRC Iron Fist was on it.
Handling it like a redheaded step child seems to have screwed them over more than actually dedicating proper development.

Its all been downhill since (a bit before) they pussied out on making The Purple man actually turn purple.
They even set it up in the plot, when kilgrave is upgrading himself, for fuck sake.

Im not buying the farm just yet
There are a lot of opinions thrown around about these shows and I have yet to not enjoy and of the Netflix Marvel outings
Yeah I have issues with some of their flaws here and there but im holding out that ill enjoy this one

True. The reviews are making this sound even worse than the weaker seasons of Arrow.

The least they could have done was hire an experienced martial arts director, like a Sammo Hung or somebody. Then they could have actually practiced their choreography more. And learned stances. And learned how to shoot fucking kung fu action with steady, close camera shots.

exactly, i was really bummed by the CW level we saw in those trailers, so i'd already lowered my expectations. really hoping the 2nd act picks things up a bit, but pacing's always been an issue with these.
