PC version has something superior.

*Turn BG music to zero. Play your own whatever song on your PC via wimamp, foobar, etc. No need for Tekken Jukebox.

*This applies to pretty much all PC games.
That's a great option, but I also like having tracks that sync with what's going on (i.e. playing on diff stages, going between menus, etc).

I can't wait until Jukebox mode gets unlocked (via Namco or mods).

Not worth losing 47 years every time you reload a match on ps4 though.

Its definitely my favorite track in T7 also. Had a few of the stages set to that theme on the PS4.

Jungle Outpost is also my favorite track!

My favorite stage 2 is probably Mishima Dojo. It gets so much better and more intense. I don't like Jungle Outpost or Souq 2 that much.

I just use the steam browser go on youtube and turn on a homework edit or one of those 24hr chillhop streams.

You can do that too on consoles with Media Player/Plex/Spotify/SoundCloud

Applies to all console games

Uh I do it on consoles. What you think I'm playing on? I stream games and play my own music, whether consoles or PC. No need to download all that garbage on my PS4.

Main menu music, character select, infinite azure, precifice of fate, jungle outpost, the snow map...all of these are top notch tracks!

Been playing with Yoshimitsu in practice, 10 hit combo that's pretty easy:

Back + 2, 1 -> 2,1 -> forward + 3+4 -> 2

I never used to go deep into the practice mode other than learning basic moves. It's funner than I thought.

edit: can be blocked, but works if it's a counter hit.
 
Is there like a basic roadmap for learning combos for people who are new to Tekken? I haven't played in literally 20 years heh

I picked up Asuka, Feng, Dragunov and hung around practice mode trying moves, memorised some basic attacks, but then I go into arcade mode to try them out and I fall back to just button mashing and maybe doing only one or two moves I actually intended to do - I can get wins but I feel like I might be forming bad habits and not learning anything here. Is this normal or should I be approaching the game another way?

It would be nice if there was a basic guide showing common combos entry level players should work on

I don't have a guide to offer you, but what someone taught me is to set the CPU action 2 to "guard all". This means that after the CPU gets hit they'll try to guard right after, so if your combo doesn't work it'll get blocked when you put in the part that doesn't work.

Who here in EU are playing Josie on PS4 or PC? I could use a sparring partner. I wanna try out some new moves and stuff tomorrow.

Damn, thanks for the tip. My above combo can be blocked on the second hit. :(

I guess it's fair, it takes away like half the health lol.

Juggles? Well juggles become a lot easier to understand once you realize that most follow the same pattern.

Launcher->Filler->Screw Move->Filler->Ender

Also anything between Launcher and Ender is totally optional, you could easily just do a juggle with launcher and ender or launcher->screw->ender.

Learn what your launchers, screw moves and good enders are. Once you know that juggles are just mixing and matching them until you get something that you're comfortable with.

My offense is okay but my defense is horrible. I can't tell when to punish. And yeah I keep forgetting about supers so when I get knock down I do something and they just wake up ultra.

It's natural combo on CH but you still shouldn't throw it out expecting that. I'm pretty sure it's not even close to max damage either.

Practice juggles from u/f+3, d/f+2, ff+4 and fc,d/f+1. Those are the launchers you'll generally hit.

My strategy is to always block high and mid. Always just take the low. Some characters have low combo starters so they're the exception. But usually those moves are easy to see coming. Just keep blocking mid and high until you get familiar with character strings.

As for offense who do you play? I play Steve so I struggle a bit as well. Someone here might be able to help.

I usually play as yoshimitsu, do you have to time the block to the attacks or just hold back button then attack?

Well you can consult the frame data if you want specifics on each move

It should show you which moves launch or spin/screw. The in game movelist does as well I think. Also note that some moves will only launch/crumple on counter hit so you should be prepared to juggle afterwards.

Filler and enders can be anything so you're not going to see them marked as such. Filler is usually just small single hits for additional damage and to adjust their height for the rest of the juggle. Enders are just usually hard hitting strings/moves that wall splat, floor break, do lots of damage, and/or somehow puts your opponent in a bad position.

For others, I had to google:

natural combo = can't be blocked after first hit connects
CH = interrupting an attack with your own
fc = full crouch animation
