Pretty much everyone who arrived to harass Anita Sarkeesian at this panel.
Most progressives know what they feel in their heart from a moral point of view. "Dont be a shit human being", "treat people fairly", "we all deserve a level playing field and a helping hand when in need".
Even many centrists agree with the progressive message in general but disagree on how to achieve that end goal.
With that in mind, i don't believe you when you say you were a former progressive. Maybe you dabbled in right wing economic populism, but based on your language here, the chasm is too wide for you to have crossed those two extremes without being extremely gullible and weak minded.
I believe racist people exist and will always exist, but it is a minor issue that is overblown by the left to push socialism. The biggest problem in the black community is no daddies, which was caused by the welfare state encouraging such behavior. Black families were more intact during Jim Crow then they are now. How sad is that? This also hurts whites FYI, just not as much yet.

I wish there was less nesmars in the gaming community and more Anitas. Maybe the community would be reaching out way more, that way, instead of what they keep trying to make it these days. (at least I'm glad it's slowly getting better)

Regardless of what you think, Anita has done a ton for gaming, especially in the light of GamerGate and the absolute ilk it has brought out of the mire, pet alone her introductory studies on gender tropes and inequalities in gaming which have introduced many to things they didn't even consider previously.
But no, continue to believe that it's an attack on freedom and that someone critically reviewing a media is the same as someone advocating rape and murder and years of harassment. Keep on using your political views and circular "logic" to further marginalize people under the guise of "both sides" are the same.
If you're going to try and pretend people shouldn't be treated with respect, that people who chose to not respect people should be treated with the same respect they refuse to give others, and want sympathy for it, I don't think GAF is the place and don't act surprised when people call you out for your ignorance.
