I doubt and hope he's just referring to moneyhatting for timed exclusivity or dlc stuff. He's probably referring to 2nd party deals such as partnering with Splash Damage to do Gears Tactics or Asobo doing Flight Simulator.

I'm curious as to what potential studio's MS could be partnering with to make exclusives. Remedy is out. I guess Crytek would be a potential partner again. Platinum is out I suppose. There are quite a few start up AAA studios that have formed in the last few years that could fit. Iron Galaxy again could be one.


Wasn't there hints by Matt on resetera saying MS is going all swinging at this E3 and stated that there is going to be a situation where cherished games will only played on certain platforms or something?

I've said it multiple times now. I think they're gonna lay their dick on the table and put the console out at whatever price Sony announces if Sony goes first. If they beat Sony on specs then meeting their price is already an optics win. I fully expect that Microsoft are not in any type of a hurry to announce the price of their console until Sony blinks first. The longer Sony wait the more Microsoft can just lean on Xbox Game Pass as a price buffer. Sony continues to say nothing and they reveal that all consoles come with 6-12 months of Game Pass Ultimate. Then when they do announce a price there is the weight of that services value factored into the price. So if they are $50 more expensive people can say they are getting that with it.

Millions of hard core gamers aren't using optical from the box. Hard core gamers are using modern 4k sets that output full audio from their TV optical.

But when I think about MechAssault and you know the IPs that Jordan created, when you go to like Crimom Skies, Shadowrun and Mech(he means BattleTech) its just, I think it would be really cool at some point if we could do something with Mech(he means BattleTech), obviously picked something we are not working on right now, just so you know I am not teasing something.

This is the 2nd or third time I hear about Halo Infinite potentially not being "ready". However I just don't see them not bring ready for launch.

At this point I feel like SEX is synonymous with Halo Infinite. Would be shocked if it launched without it.

No kidding. I got some realllllllllly bad news for people that are expecting a AAA blockbuster title at launch that is a PS5 only game. It's just not logistically possible. Anything AAA for the foreseeable future will be cross generation on both Series X and PS5. Maybe PS5 gets some budget PS5 only titles but people expecting Horizon Zero Dawn 2 as a PS5 only title at launch need their heads examined.

Quantum Break had an awesome story, Sunset Overdrive is one of the most fun first party titles I have ever touched of any console that is not some dramatic 3rd person story. Ori and the Blind Forest gets no love? That game is phenomenal and one of the best platformers of all time. Ryse was a graphical demo, albeit, hollow gameplay. But it was still not a bad game. We've gotten neat little titles like Recore which were not AAA games, but they were fun nonetheless. State Of Decay, Sea Of Thieves, Age Of Empires, Flight Simulator, Killer Instinct, Rare Replay. All those games are great games that have come to the system or will be coming to the system and everyone writes them all off for console warrior bullshit. Not only that but the console has Game Pass which is undeniably one of the single most pro consumer programs to have ever been created.

I talked about what makes sense and what doesn’t and yes I know of these smaller titles and none of these smallest titles hold that much weight compared to mainline games you mentioned!
