Again...no. Both of you are falling victim to a common failure of logical reasoning. There are 4 groups.

Group A is people who had pre-existing preorders but have now cancelled
Group B is people who waited to preorder and now aren't going to
Group C is people who had pre-existing preorders and are keeping them
Group D is people who waited to preorder and are currently preordering

The size of groups A, B and C are all of unknown sizes...and you cannot imply ANYTHING about the sizes of these groups based upon the size of group D alone...and you don't even have the size of group D, you just have a sales trend that implies that group D might be large.

MP will be equally amibtious by the sounds of it, so expect it later. Wouldn't be surprised if it launches around PS5 or later.

Ps5 launches Holidays 2020.. so its not too far off. We should have atleast some information on the MP. We dont even know if it will be standalone (which I doubt now).

If they are waiting for the game to be out and then announce it, IDK how wise it would be. I honestly think, its only going to get worst for TLOU2. Atleast if they talk about it right now, they can maybe divert attention from leaks to brand new factions. If there's no additional cost to MP part of the game, some people will probably buy the game for it.

If its a completely separate experience, then it makes sense to not mention it.

I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill but it just struck me as a bit too coincidental what with all these other things coming out of TLOUII/ND/Neil "Anita" Druckmann as of late.

Personally I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt in terms of the actual game and its narrative. Naughty Dog's execs & management can go fuck themselves though. I really hope their employees can overcome that ridiculous crunch culture over there.
