I was one of the few that enjoyed Watch Dogs 1, I've tried the Watch Dogs 2 demo many times when it's gone on sale for super cheap, but I can't compel myself to play it, it's Ubi's "JAM PACKED" open world design at it's worse, it's good to have things to do, but when they're all practically the same thing, it's just filler trash. Also that dude with the stupid mask was just...ugh.

I detested every character in that game. WD's boring protagonist was admittedly far better than the wayward teenage rebels of WD2. I absolutely hated that game

Watch Dogs sold over 10,000,000 copies and was loved by many - we need to stop pushing false narratives that align with our own beliefs. Isn’t that what they do at ResetEra?

I get it that a lot of people here hate Ubisoft, but Watch Dogs was hugely successful. This idea that of the ten million plus people who played Watch Dogs only a handful actually liked the game is Reset-era style thinking. There’s simply no way to measure this.

I've tried the Watch Dogs 2 demo...

I finished it but Idk why. Didn't like it much, I thought the first one was actually the better game.

What I found the most ridiculous in the second one was that Marcus was a hacker but had no problems mass murdering a lot of people just because. Also I felt like in a game about hacking, it was too hard or cumbersome to win by hacking and too easy by killing everybody. I except the third one following the same principle.

At least Aiden had a motive.

From what I gather it looks like I'm supposed to be playing as members of some Antifa-like terrorist group that recruits people to oppose the government cause they had the audacity to enforce the law. Sure they're probably exaggerate the government to be extra bad but the message will still be there.

This game has such a weird premise. Not sure what happened to the series after WD1, they should’ve just kept the games going in that direction and they would’ve had a good formula. Modern-day AC with guns and hacking puzzles seemed like an easy win.

I remember the AR games in the first one, before I actually had a VR headset. VR would be perfect for this or AC too (given its a simulation in a memory-reconstructing VR-like device)

almost 3 years of hours long sessions say otherwise. BTW, RDR's red eye bullet-time would kick ass in VR
