Sweet, must have missed that. Won;t need one for a while anyway, but I'll prefer not having to replace the original
I thought the same but nah.It was really quick on the render. Next week when the YouTubers show it off, we may get a better look.
I thought the same but nah.
Yeah. That's the question that's needs answering.Ok but why is it so ugly tho.
No its not.Guys watch "road to ps5", its all there, I swear.
They won't do it. They have no need to. look how rabid people are for PS5. Why open themselves for more direct comparisons with xbox? Why havent sony done a console break down yet ?
What they hiding in that burg al playstation !!!
I think that remains to be seen.Third-party NVME SSDs won't have the same number of channels and priority levels as the PS5's internal SSD and therefore won't have to have a capacity that's proportional to 825GB. They simply need to be faster than the PS5's internal SSD in order to compensate for their lower number of channels and priority levels.
No its not.
This is all we need for cooling alien tech SSD:meh.
I am running one and it's 43c under gpu... It;s some heat but it does not need thermalright macho on it.
It depends how things are disposed inside... Everything else being equal bigger is better, especially for the fans. The bigger the better. More airflow and cooling power for the powerful 2.23 Ghz GPU. I can't take another generation of jet engine noise.
I dont know what you're smoking thinking the PS5 and XSX are the same volume.
If by volume you're talking about the amount of space they occupy theres a pic floating around here that shows the SeX is 6.something liters and the PS5 is something like 11 liters.
If by volume you're talking about noise history shows the PS5 will probably be loud as fuck and XSX should be whisper quiet.
Only way to know for sure is to use the Archimedes method on the retail release consoles.PS5 is 390mm × 104mm × 260mm*** 10,545.6cm
XSX is 301mm x 151mm x 151mm 6,863.1cm

The expansion bay must be somewhere then.
Maybe it's not under a door, maybe the whole top just comes off like a third of the PS4's does, with these hooker things
They also made it heavy so that people can't throw it around.
The PS5 is so heavy that it will be sold in furniture stores, because they have the capabilities of delivering them.
You're really still trying to push that, huh?Interesting to see some of u don't even realize that this is a thing. These things need to be kid proof no matter if you like it or not. They will have be build more robust because of it.
Thanks to you I've imagined that German Mediamarkt crowd from PS4 launch but now with forklifts drifting across isles to snatch their consoles. Oh wait, there's even a video of that! You're really still trying to push that, huh?
Oh right, I remember Cerny talking about it during the tech talk.
Cerny: One of the major complaints about our previous hardware was that it was too easy to throw. We developed a cutting edge technique to remedy the issue. By making the console as big as a horse we've reduced throwabilty by 87%.
XSX is ~315wWe still don't know how many watts the PS5 and XSX draw from the wall.
XSX is ~315w
PS5 is ~350w
Were what confirmed?
Those are not measurements, just specs.
I'd just like to point out the obvious that XSX is also based on the same RDNA2 so everything you're saying applies to it also.
And with that being the case people are right to be concerned because the MS solution is so much better here so what else is wrong with PS5s hardware design? Why is it seemingly so inferior comparison? At the end of the day why is it nearly twice as big and still 25% less powerful?
No, do you? It's not 25% less powerful. Do you know include the dedicated hardware in the PS5 for decompression?
XSX is ~315w
PS5 is ~350w
I was thinking that as well. Would be cool if both came off and you can get custom colors and the like.
I wonder if there could ever be a reason for the PS5 to have a higher power supply rating than the XSX.
Nope, can't come up with a single reason.
These are fake, but someone had a good idea what it might look like.
Found them on Twitter awhile back.

That's my proJust hope its not
I highly doubt they'll do one. I also highly doubt they're even going to send out review/preview units before release. They know they've been beaten on hardware in both terms of power and design. They know that third party games are going to look and run better on the competition in every way other than loading times. They have a massive fanbase that is going to buy the console already, so why bother giving the media ammo to use to give a negative impression? It just makes no sense. Why havent sony done a console break down yet ?
What they hiding in that burg al playstation !!!
No lol...One can go on and on about the size of the console. The Series X is just as large. It's not the same height as PS5 and it makes up for that in terms of overall volume.
Both are much more powerful than their predecessors and that means better cooling is needed so the overall dimensions will get bigger.
Anyone expecting these consoles to be PS4 size is kidding themselves. Expect future revisions of both to be the same size and next next gen consoles to be even larger. They may even be mini PC boxes.
Nah, everyone already knows the size comparisons down to the mm.I’m just wondering why they’re hiding the ps5 from the public, they must be scared of the inevitable size comparisons
