Skyrim had jank but at the time is was so damn fun.

I think I spend 80 hours before I even made it to the top of the mountain. It really scratched my "What's that over there" itch.

Bro. I don't give as shit about "Sony" or "Microsoft".

I am seriously starting to doubt that you have ever even played a BGS game. This is half the fun, this is what they are known for. Gambryo!

Is that what this is? I'm not used to delusional console fanboyism.

Edit: It's really weird how he/she immediately goes to attack Sony games. Is that what console war people do? Like if BGS was still Independent would he still be going this hard?

:messenger_tears_of_joy: How did I attack Sony games you fruitcake? I posted a game renown for its quality, which VGDunkey had ripped for it’s AI, in order to highlight how daft your gifs were.

The funny thing about anyone equating actual discussion or comparisons with warring, is that I can always post the receipts, and most of the time they are on PlayStation :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Cool I guess?

BGS still makes jank. Their games have always been jank. They can also still be good games. They can also still be criticized. It's ok to point out flaws in things you like.

Good thing Starfield and any other new Bethesda RPGs will be exclusive to Xbox and PC. Obviously Xbox doesn't need to have any concerns about ignoring the the Sony fanbase since apparently the SonyBros loathe Bethesda RPGs so Xbox wouldn't make any money off of them any way.

Yeah I’ve played hundreds of hours and I’ve never seen the end. It’s hands down the best open world RPG there is for me. Just started over again, this time in Skyrim VR and even though lots of things looks super dated it still feels like everyone else is behind. I loved the dialogues in The Outer Worlds and at first people were hyping Obsidian as the dev that would bring Bethesda down from the throne, same goes for CDPR and Cyberpunk, it was supposed to be the RPG of all time, but at the end Bethesda is still the boss.

I get the itch, spend two days settings up mods. Then the itch goes away!

I really hope Starfield nails that itch again. One thing BGS always kicks ass at is making me want to explore every nook and cranny.

Link?

I don't think so.
I am guessing time exclusive to any game in development before MS bought them.

Oh man, had a good chuckle over that. “Come my Lord, the story of Uchitsune(sp?) awaits. *blood curdling scream* Come my Lord, the story of Uchitsune awaits”. 😂

I’m going to guess this is an outlier of the famous “Sony Polish” I’ve heard so much about?
GoT definitely has a couple more of those ”wtf” moments, I had a cutscene where my horse’s head was too close to the NPC i was speaking to resulting in some kind of physics collision. The whole scene looked pretty funny because the horse was shaking his head furiously in complete disbelief listening to NPC telling how mongols had raided his village and slain his wife and children

Edit: By this I mean it happens. I’ve experienced bugs in TLOU2 as well, but to compare it to Bethesda games is laughable. In Bethesda games it’s almost not considered a flaw as much as a feature. I have experienced more bugs playing Bethesda titles than almost all other games combined (Trespasser excluded). Some of them severely game breaking, to the point that it impacts my general impression and appreciation of the games have dropped from a 9/10 to a 4/10.

I doubt it, considering they were their own publisher, they have no obligation to put out on Playstation.

Pretty sure we've seen that last of any Zenimax games being console multi plat

The only games coming to PS5 are legacy titles like ES:O and FO76 expansions, Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo because those were announced previously as coming to the platform. Phil made it pretty clear that this acquisition was about bringing exclusive games to the platform. Starfield, ES6, etc, are all going to be on Xbox, PC, and Cloud. I'm sure you'll get your confirmation in a month at E3 though.

I suggest looking at what people from MS actually said.

Do you mean this bit?

There's contractual obligations that we're going to see through. We have games that exist on other platforms and we're going to go and support those games on the platforms they're on.

The thing I want you to know is this is about delivering great exclusive games for you that ship on platforms where Game Pass exists.

Mods can be both a blessing and a curse, but mostly a blessing. I’m currently going with focused VR mods, HIGGS, VRIK, takes the immersion to another level.

Agreed, the exploration is superb, and they can really go out there as well with areas like Blackreach, has to be the coolest area in the whole game. I hope they go bananas in Starfield now that they can do different planets and don’t have to stick to a certain biome and style.

Doubt it's not coming to PS5, they most likely had contracts being signed.

That said we don't know what the gameplay looks like. This game looks really dope so far though.
While I think it may in time if xbox wants to move hardware they need to make it next gen exclusive and launch it along side halo. Putting Starfield on PS5 out the gate along side a PC release is shooting themselves in the foot. Wait 3 years then go multiplat while raking gold and GP Subs.

Id go so far to say if they don't make it exclusive to ss and sx then they arent serious about winning and dont believe in the product.

Uh oh. Someone is dealin’ around here. Dealin’ that denial drug.

NOTE: This is from the SAME leak that happened last year. These images just haven't been posted before. Everything you see here is from a 2018 build.

Should Mods feel the need to delete this thread because of SPAM you can find all of the newly leaked images in my old thread. I felt like creating a new one since these all leaked today.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Loving this so far; between this and Returnal 2021 could be a great year for sci-fi themed games. That is...if Starfield releases this year. Hopefully it does.

Also hope we see some gameplay at E3 during the Bethesda presentation portion.

People acting like Bethesda haven't made some of the best games ever created.

Also very innovative. Take a peep at their Terminator games for DOS and Windows '95. Very much ahead of their time in several aspects WRT game mechanics and features.

Holy crap! This has potential to be a legendary game in the same league as Zelda:OOT, Half Life 2, and MGS.

Truly, Microsoft and Saint Phil are absolute gaming gods and are redefining the gaming landscape. Praise them!

I know Jeff Grubb said 2022 today but my personal opinion is it might still release this year (we'll see who's right)

I don’t yet have a solid familiarity with the populace here, but your forum handle caught my eye. Are you somehow “in the know” concerning Starfield to the point that I should place some credence to the validity of your opinion above?

If you are just a fan like the rest of us, that’s cool too. (y)

I’m fine with the jankiness as long as they capture what makes the elder scrolls and fallout good (yes I even liked fallout 4 a lot) - imo they’re basically unmatched in terms of feeling like you’re in a legit other world. I would’ve loved if Cyberpunk (which I still liked) had a lot of the features bethesda type games have. Obsidian for some reason never did it for me - couldn’t get into the outer worlds at all

These leaks are not doing them any good, since they are extremely generic. Of course there also isn't much to see. But every time I get excited, open the thread, see the images, raise my shoulders and leave. That's bad publicity, regardless of the final result.

I'm like the rest of you with the small difference that I spend a great part of my personal time on this game and everything that surrounds it. I'm not an insider nor do I have any connections to anyone at Bethesda. Yes I know some stuff but mostly things that anyone can find if he's looking hard enough. I know some things that not many people know but most of these things have been revealed today. There's still alot more but I doubt any more of it is going to leak (feels like I've said this before). If more of it leaks its not me being the one leaking it as I do not own any of these images. I just post them.

🪜

Did he now?

He's been beating his chest saying it would release this year. I wonder what made that slob change his mind?
I wonder that too but he's not like saying 100% its not coming this year. Its just his opininon based on what he's heard.

Some out of context Bull shots of what could pass as mass effect 3 or dead space mod don’t tell us much.

From the leaks we‘ve seen so far, and that teaser trailer Bethesda has shown back in 2018, I predict that the game’s backstory is about some kind of wormhole or portal that suddenly appeared in our solar system, which leads to a different solar system in a different part of the universe. And I think this different solar system will be where the game takes place.

I don‘t think we‘re going to be able to explore the whole galaxy or something, like in other space games, since the level of human technology we’ve seen in the leaks so far simply isn‘t advanced enough. I think the level of technology is similar to that of something like The Expanse, and humanity hasn‘t been able to leave the solar system yet – at least until relatively recently. The original teaser trailer clearly showed some kind of wormhole, or dimensional rift or whatever, and this is probably how humanity has been able to leave the solar system for the first time.

The game probably takes place several decades after the wormhole/portal was first discovered. Humanity has already built space stations, outposts, and even a few cities on the various planets, moons and asteroids of this new solar system, but large parts are still unexplored. If there are aliens, I predict they‘ll be more primitive, like in James Cameron‘s Avatar (or the game Outcast, for those who know it), and less like the aliens in Mass Effect. Though there probably will be some remnants of an advanced, but extinct, ancient alien civilization.

3rd person? Interesting

Well...it shows both 3rd and first person. If its anything like Fallout and Elder Scrolls, ie Elder Scrolls in Space, it will simply have it swappable.

So if they have you go around your own customizable ship, going from planet to planet, ship to ship aka (dungeon) and looting, exploring and doing classic Fallout / Elder Scrolls shit, its a day 1.

Deathloop has been officially revealed with trailers and everything. Starfield has just been shown a logo. You can't seriously be comparing the two.
These contracts are often done before the games even start development, I have no idea what you're pissy about.
