The Last of Us Part I |OT| You know Ellie, we really are worth 70 dollars

Gamer79

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
You're making a lot of presumptions that every gamer values what you value, and that is why your complaining here is pointless.
You calling something bullshit doesn't mean that everyone also agrees it's bullshit. What you consider to be a waste of time, others might see as a worthy investment of their time/money.
You're free to spend your time and money how you want, so I see no point in being resentful of how other gamers decide to spend theirs.

I don't know what the basics of free market economics have to do with cucking, that's pretty random lol.
See above

Does the remake have those screen filters where it looks like your screen is dirty or dusty when you'd go into areas with a lot of the fungus?

That sort of thing was popular when the original game released around 2013, but seems to have fallen out of favor, but it added to the atmosphere so it'd be a shame if they left it out.

Yes it does. And in combat too

Perf mode is bit soft. Why not use a checkerboard solution or fsr.

Can’t say I’m impressed with the direction Naughty dog is going, but they know how to make money, so good for them.

I think Naughty Dog have said that upscalers & CB rendering doesn’t work well with their TAA.

And given how excellent their TAA is, using normal fixed native resolutions work just fine.

Finished this last night. Finished it back in the day on the triple and dabbled in the remaster but wow, what a masterpiece of a game. The immersion is second to none and the combat is so visceral and brutal. Plus that soundtrack!

Need to go through and mop up any collectables and missed conversations to get the platinum.

I fucking love The Last of Us. Part 1 and Part 2, and Left Behind.

What a fucking game man.

This must be the most gut-wrenching game ever. So many intense scenes. 10/10 Masterpiece.

I'm glad they didn't use the garbage fake flashbacks from TLOU2 with Abby 🤮 The way people vilified Joel to this day because of them. Playing the remake made me appreciate his character even more. His decisions were 100% justified. He promised Ellie he wouldn't leave without her (after the giraffes) and that's exactly what he did.

Now it's time for Left Behind 😍

Yeah the spore effect is still in, but you can disable the annoying film grain if you want.

You guys are really trying to explain to people who are enjoying playing the game why they should not be enjoying playing the game?

That monkey is talking about you.
You sound like a new Star Wars fan telling an old Star Wars fan that there’s no problem liking the new trilogy. I guess you’re both right in a way. Don’t call other stupid tho your stance is no better than theirs…

I'm not telling others what they should like/not like at all so not sure what you are reading.

Apart from the visuals, the sound design is so good. I didn't play it with a headset the first time around on PS3 but I'm really appreciating it this time around. Gosh, maybe I'm crazy but sometimes I feel like a hear the gurgle of spit from some of the infected in the game

Polish material but its about game brutality with examples so kinda self explanatory ;d Btw palying in 4k 40 fps (you feel fps drops but still defenitly better than 30fps) and have to say that its "only" lou2 level but still one of best looking game, to be honest only Forbiden West looks better for me.

Games are getting fewer and far between. It's not careless complaining as you paint it. Developers are spending time on this bullshit instead of making new, fresh experiences. It affects me and everybody else who hates this bullshit practice. Keep cucking I guess. Look at the development time of modern games and know divide that even more with developers wasting time on paint jobs to old games.
Go play indie games that’s where the innovation always has been. But you won’t. Keep complaining why huge AAA studios that make games catered to the masses aren’t being ‘innovative’. It’s like complaining that all pop music sounds the same sounds and ignoring indie artist that creating fresh music experiences. 😑

It works fine but there's a huge loss in detail between the fidelity and performance modes. Why couldn't they get a higher res at 60 on ps5 considering how the graphical improvement over Part 2 us relatively minor?

Same as why Demon’s Souls is 1440p 60. That’s what the PS5 can lock to reliably.

3840 * 2160 * 30 = 248,832,000
2560 * 1440 * 60 = 221,184,000 (89% of 4K30)

Similar pixel fill rates. 4K30 and 1440p60.

The next common resolution above 1440 that offers a noticeable improvement is 1800p.

And 1800p @60 is significantly higher pixels/second than 4K30 and 1440p60.

3200 * 1800 * 60 = 345,600,000 (139% of 4K30)

1800p may have made sense for the unlocked 40fps mode though, with some juice to spare considering the current iteration of the 40fps mode averages about 38fps (per VG Tech although they did not test the unlocked 40fps mode so would have suffered from a fps cap)

3200 * 1800 *40 = 230,400,000 (93% of 4K30), whereas 3840 * 2160 * 38 = 315,187,200

Ah. Here's another one

The price tag and missing online modes can be a valid criticism for some people.

But overall the base game is still excellent and they did a good job with the visuals. I think once some people experience that some of the hate goes away.

I'm definitely going to pick it up at some point but I want to get a really good TV first for the best experience. Currently looking at an A90J which might be what I'll get but the LGC1 seems like a good choice as well.

I agree regarding missing modes (I for one never cared for Factions). However, due to Factions being it's own standalone game being released, I am not surprised it's missing from the remake.

There's probably more resources and network stuff that has to get implemented and I'd just assume Naughty Dog didn't want waste their time and effort on something like that.

Damn Joel looks like a psychopath in slow motion lol
That’s kind of the point of these games…and people got their panties all bunched up when what goes around comes around for their surrogate video game daddy.

Edit
I’ve never finished the DLC so I’m gonna jump into that today and the probably replay Part II totally OP in New Game+, it’s what Joel would want.

It's the ND formula. Their 30 fps is not very laggy and motion blur is heavy enough to help!
It says Fidelity (with capped framerate) targets 40fps, and it puts my TV at 120hz. Maybe do they feel smother because in fact they are not 30fps but 40?

I take it this is your first console ever? Because otherwise you're just a pretentious cunt.

No, it isn't my first console. Preferring frame rate over fidelity is hardly a controversial thing to say. Not sure what your problem is.
