This chapter was satisfying despite not getting to see Killua fight Illumi (although I still want to see that). Plus Killua and Alluka's relationship with each other really opened up a bunch of possibilities for the future. For example, could Alluka and her split personality tell if someone made a copy of Killua and ordered her to do things? Or even Illumi's plan of using Killua like a puppet (or a mind control nen user). Right now the main "threat" is Illumi, but if Illumi repeats this knowledge to Hisoka, that would be big trouble for everyone.

Kind of surprised Killua didn't send Illumi into a volcano or some death trap. Now that I think about it, why is it a good thing that Illumi got sent home? Shouldn't he be punished by his father/captured?

That was Illumi's first hypothesis before Killua had Alluka send him home. After that it became clear to Illumi and everyone else watching that Killua has a special bond to Alluka (that's why Illumi began talking about controlling Killua to get what he wants).

well the restriction can be that alluka can't ever become a fighter or use nen to his/her advantage. alluka's nen could only ever be used by somebody else.

Specialization Nen + all the different rules involved with asking for wishes, and the fact that Alluka can't herself trigger the ability (so pretty much defenseless by her self) makes it totally plausible.

From the start we heard about the restrictions and the problems caused with making the wishes and in the end nothing comes from it just because Killua is a good brother. This is definitely just a temporary solution to this Alluka/Killua/Illumi triangle. We will see it again as that's way too fucking powerful an ability for Killua to be able to just use freely. I wonder what will happen from here. Could we have a Ryodan Pt. 2 Arc? Kurapica is starving for screentime and it's been long enough. I guess we have to tie up these Gon strings, but if we're headed for a hiatus anytime soon I can't see a new arc on the horizon of the near near future.

This chapter...at first I was thinking I should be pretty "meh" about it but then I realized that the entire point of this arc as far as action is to just have random brawls...and Amano is the one who picks the matchups. That was understood a while back so this is okay. Fon is a fucking boss, but these fights feel a bit lazy...as if they aren't the end all be all fights they should be and are just preps for the "big" fights. I mean, I loved the Fon action, but now he's out of uncurse time and Hibari was sorely missing from on-screen action with Xanxus.

At this point the formula for every fight is "things look grim..." -> COOL CHARACTER POSE AS HE SHOWS UP...let's see some curveballs soon and also some plot.







All the chapters this week were pretty middling...not amazing...not bad either. Well, except Naruto.
