Emma liked to dress up as Jean during their "sessions", but he still knew it was Emma.
Damn that's hot. That's why I always go for the evil ones.
But...do you ever think, maybe Doom, like...you know... thinks of Squirrel Girl, in *that* way? I mean, she is the only woman who ever defeated him. You know he respects that kind of power, and fear. Probably kinda turns him on.
edit:
I don't know if Emma and Namor ever actually did the deed. And she's not above "mindfucking" people, letting them thing they're making the most horrendous beast with two backs, while she's just sitting their filing her nails. But even if she did bang Namor, she's so bad, I might even take her back. Because I know she's the type to use sex as a means to an end, and that it was probably meaningless besides manipulation/fun.
And re: Wolvie and Jean, Wolvie's a boring lay dude. I mean, ok, so he gets Jean, he's happy Wolvie, they can go out to the Canadian countryside and be "truly happy" and he can stop being all broody and fatalistic and start being philosophical and deep, while still rustic and genuine. And...then what? Exploring his inner depth with the woman he loves? Raising a family and all that shit? No dude, he's fucking Wolverine. The only thing that existed between Jean and Logan was the heat of their attraction, his fucked up past, mixed with his shitty luck with women. The only thing Jean had was her self-confessed thing for "badboys", and her ability to understand the man beneath the beast. So, you could give them a happily ever after, but it would be boring as shit.
Scott and Jean did compliment each other. She basically kept him in one piece, and filled in all his inadequacies and doubts, and he and his fanatical need to protect her, fulfilled her need to be loved and have someone so devoted to her. He was a mental case, and she was the superpowerful cheerleader chick who loves when her jock boyfriend gets in dudes faces for looking at her the wrong way. She knows Logan would die for her out of nobility and need. But Cyclops would fall for her over and over and over again, because that's just who he is. Like a lemming over a cliff.
That said, I like the character that he has developed having lost Jean, and then developing something with his former enemy, basically the anti-Jean. She does some of the same things, but from a more realistic standpoint. And his love for Emma seems more willful and true. He's with her because he chooses to be, not because he can't resist it. And they do make a good pair. You get to see him fuck up more often without Jean mentally patching him back together again with sex and psi powers. He bears all the scars, and has to heal on his own a lot more often. In that context it isn't so strange to see him as less of a protege of Xavier, but learning a lot from Magneto as well.
