at the end of BB they say he wears a mask. I think ledger could pull of joker if the costume consists of a latex mask instead of just paint.




What makes joker more than just some guy?
guess same could be asked about everyone in the Batman universe = /

I don't prefer Ledger, not because of Brokeback, but because he just seems like too much of a pretty boy for the role and seeing him dance around like the Joker would be more of a "laugh at" than "laugh with" thing IMO. I can't imagine him giving an evil laugh that was actually decent. Nolan probably has a different vision of the character (That is, if these rumors are true), but from what I can imagine, this gy just doesn't seem like he would fit the character.

Hugh Jackman would be a fantastic Harvey Dent (he's also worked with Nolan), opening him up for Two Face in BB3. Lets get that shit-taste of Tommy Lee Jones out of our mouths ASAP.

I say now that FOX failed at not casting Vincent Cassel as Gambit before ruining/ending the X-Men 'trilogy, Warner should scoop him up as the Joker.

You have to read into that - They beleive he wears a mask - what they dont know is that is his actual face (not that we've seen the 'Begins' Joker yet - but that is my assumption on that line

pretty cool, imo


Also,


Heath Ledger proved he was a good actor in BBM - he is appropriate for the role (age, body type,) and with the right makeup, I think his acting abilities will really sell the character.

I was really getting sick of all these "fan favourite" choices, and I have faith in Nolan.

Well okay I was wrong. I'm fine with it. Nolan hasn't ****ed up once for me in regards to Batman, and they still have Goyer, who's like a Batman nerd times 1000. They will get the best out of Ledger, just like they got the best out of everyone in Begins.

In Nolan I trust.

Gives me shivers everytime. Best line in a superhero movie? Probably.

While I'm fine with Ledger as The Joker, Depp would have been the perfect choice. Gah :(

I wouldn't want Depp, because from now on I'll always see him as Jack Sparrow in action movies and I don't want little teenaged girls wooing over him in the theater. He might have been good, but I know.

Johnny Depp cannot be typecasted. I would have thought that he would have always been known as edward scissorhands but he has done so many different movies and so many different roles that he's broken free. His best performance is still Blow.

Depp can definetly act his way out of any character he might make popular. The teenage girl thing, **** that's unavoidable.

I'm fine with Ledger as Joker. No matter how much you "manly men" make fun of Brokeback Mountain, Ledger proved to me he has somthing called talent. Also seeing how Batman Begins featured very little American actors this comes as little surprise to me due to his heritage.

FYI...I was actually pulling for Depp.

Anyway, Casting decisions ASIDE, I wonder how Nolan's Joker will look like. I doubt he'll just make Joker Nicholson Ver. 2.

Since the movie is going to be "darker" than Begins, I'm guessing they wont go with the straight up white face/green hair Joker.
