Played Akiyama yet? I'm assuming if you're talking about drunken fights, you must've!

No still at the start of the game running around as kazuma gaining exp. The whole "drunk" system is simply when you drink alcohol there is that pink colored bottle that shows you have alcohol in you. With 3 color levels showing how drunk you are. Basically the whole point of being drunk was so your spirit gauge fills faster and there would be more encounters with enemies.

I didnt DL the demo, but from what Ive heard / seen that basically is the starting scenario for the game. The demo that is with him leaving the taxi depot and hitting the streets on foot.

I remember that part. I don't know why, but it immediately sprang into my head how Aki deals extra damage when drop, and thought you were playing Aki already. lol

Yeah no idea when he will appear in the story or what the order actually.

I passes by Akiyodo an hour ago and found there was a small event in front of the main entrance. A skinny tan skin rather tall for Japanese guy was behind a counter. That guy must be Nagoshi!!

If his skin looks like it went through a deep fryer leaving him a golden brown with thinning hair done up in some faux hawk then yeah its nagoshi. I wonder if the dude is sick or something though, since he looks almost unhealthy kind of skinny from the last time Ive seen him in the past 3 years ago at a conference he was giving a speech at.

He uses hiyake machine, that's why his skin looks unnatural, I guess. As far as I know, he is a heavy drinker. Drinking every night on weekdays like starts drinking around 11pm and keeps drinking until shihatu densya starts for work, a typical Japanese salary man \(^o^)/

VF2's nice but Super Happy Funtime Drumming is the real gem of Club Sega

Im curious to how good VF2s online vs play is. Since according to the video by the producer that mode exists along with 2 player vs. By access via download or something.

Played it an hour or so.
The intro movie is very cool. A bit lengthy with no actual gameplays but I really enjoyed Nakajima san's city guide. He has a good personality and very likable. I'm still in the intro segment, I can't wait to play it more this weekend.

rumor, Suzuki san is
gay
lol

Edit: So you can read about 20 pages of actual comic books at conbini. I guess this also might bring a problem for localization. But it's easy to omit.

It will be added with upcoming DLCs.

Anyone who bought from buygame2 before know what their shipping process is? I got an email saying they processed by order about a day after I ordered (saying they charged my card). Do they send an email saying they shipped or do they lock down purchases when close to release?

My understanding about VF2 was that they were talking about the psn release which would have online play. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, they'll send another email when it ships. You can also check the 'my orders' section of the site as they sometimes update that to say it shipped before you get the email. Did you order the Asian version btw? Still waiting for my copy to go out.

Yeah I bought the asian version. Actually had the play asia asian version ordered but switched over to buygame2 since they were 10 dollars cheaper AND cheaper shipping. I cheaped out on the shipping so I hope I still get it before I leave for christmas. play asia cheapest shipping usually takes 1 or 2 weeks for me.

Upcoming free DLC

Awesome DLC stuff.

Am still running around not having advanced the story at all beating the shit out of people, currently lv 11. Made some decent cash too from the crap the enemies give. Got lucky with a golden plate which is worth 100k yen and a few silvers at 10k.

This is how I usually start my way in the game, though generally a bad idea since this just like 4 its multiple characters and really should not be taking up so much time leveling lol

Where can we change the inverted controls

go to the menu, one of the lowest settings you can choose is options...look for the first set of similar looking characters, maybe halfway down the screen. choose each one and select the only other option; there's only one other set that looks like this below it and that seemingly doesnt do anything anyway. mess with it, you'll get it right! no idea why the defaults are inverted though.

The other set is for the first person view. Which Id assume would come more into play for like the snowball fight and the hunting parts with saejima.

Normally its just used for looking around in first person by pressing in R3.

Taxi missions take real paying attention and babying ones controller. Since things like accelerating too fast or breaking to suddenly = minus points.

Pretty interesting stuff and nice to see something different in the game.

The racing isnt too bad and at least it controls good. But I think in the long run to win its more about using your skills at the right place & time. Since the AI has things like boost too. So its not just good driving which will win the day.

The taxi missions right now for the moment can be broken up into 2 types. Actual driving or Event type, where you basically have a conversation / answer questions that the customer asks. Its not voiced so reading is necessary. Also for the driving part the customer will also be talking on occasion and to get a good rank its required you at least give some sort of sensible answer from the 3 choices which appear. Ignoring the customer by not answering in the short time given gives minus points. Am sure same with giving the wrong answer.

The whole conversation with driving bits is a bit of a pain in the ass since you need to look downwards away to read whats being said / the answers you can give. Those who are poor at multi-tasking will have issues Id imagine. Not sure why they decided to stick it so low.

I played the game three or four hours over the weekend. It is fun but I could see some turned off by the number of cut scenes and dialogue before you get to explore at the start. I enjoyed it though, since I like the story in these games. The Hakata ben is fun to listen to as well. It is amazing how quickly I can start figuring it out (kogen, sogen, agen for konna, sonna, anna).

One sub-mission was pretty funny: the wonky computer at the office. My wife knows I am playing this game and she sometimes will watch the cutscenes, but she was in the other room when the submission started. The whole
nukanai de!
bit had me panicking just like Kiryu and his boss.

Any experts in Japanese culture care to explain WTF that outfit is?

Usually if they do wear a coat its to display from what group they are from.

A lot of the RGG series games start off with a general long intro of such before you are actually free to do things. So anyone who would get irritated by it now Id have to doubt they played any of the other games.

---

I need to advance my story further since found out that currently Im capped at lv 20. So a lot of exp is going to waste, which I really HATE it when games do design choices like that. It should at least give you exp for the quests so you dont feel that its wasted. Fights I dont mind since thats small change in relation to whats lost from quests when capped. D:

So to those of you playing Kiryus part, keep that in mind. You dont exactly need to go beating up people for hours on end as you will get a decent amount of exp from quests. I still have a bunch of the taxi ones left too. So might skip those for now.

I'm always late but I just wanted to mention that I recently downloaded the demo and think I spent too much time trying to get that damn Miku figurine on the Sega Club. lmao that was HARD and frustrating. I loved the demo overall though. :)

How did you max out your character already
I'm in the third chapter of the first character and my playtime is about 15 hours. I'm about to finish the another drama of the character but my level is still something like Lv.8, 8, 7, 8.

You can reach the lv cap which is 20 but it wont max out your skills. I still need about 9 more points I think before Id be actually maxed out on all of the skills.

Level Cap does not = Maxed level btw.

My copy is out for delivery today, but since it's EMS, someone has to be home to sign for it. I'm at work and my wife is in Boston this week for work...

Yep, last week. I'll swing by the post office tomorrow after work and pick it up.

Still waiting on 2nd SRWOG, though. Hopefully Thursday or Friday.

My amiami EMS ordered version hasn't shown up yet :(. Anyway to trace beyond dispatch from Japan?

The EMS tracking number works with at www.usps.com if you're in the US. Their iPhone app is actually really cool, you can save tracking numbers and it automatically updates the status for you. I ordered with Ami Ami, by the way. Arrived in San Francisco customs on Friday night and got to Seattle late last night.
