Going to start charging people to rent my profile; throw that shit on some small usb, let them have their fun for a few days then I'll change the PW.
They'd still need to do the game install tho. Sounds like a pain tbh.

This is a home console. 3 decades of media/game ownership rules are being rewritten. How is this different than PC or Steam?
What's funny is that their Office 365 DRM is probably more friendly than this (I think it can be activated on 5 machines, and software can be used offline)
Mandatory "always on" Kinect that signs you in when it hears your voice or see's your voice.
Games playable only on your account.
Orwellian, Orthian. You decide.
Don't have kids so never thought of that wow. So if you and your kid wanna play 59.99 per person wow.
You like posting this, don't you? And it's not jumping to conclusions when there's information being provided to you. Damage Controllllllllllllllsoulassssns
PS4 "will play used games," just like they said it.
You know, just like the XB1 will play used games.
You know it's coming.
Because PC isn't a closed platform? I can get plenty of DRM free games on PC if I choose to.How is this different than PC or Steam?
Just interviewed Phil Harrison. Reaffirmed that second hand games need to be repurchased. Declined to comment on 24hr online requirement

So you can't lend games to friends. You have to physically be there, sign in, and play with them. Unless you wanna give your friends your account info, which is not a good idea.
round and round we gooooooooooo
oh brother. I don;t buy used games but not being able to take a game over to my friends house is pretty shitty
All word thus far from Sony has been to the contrary.
So until we hear otherwise you can stop trying to do damage control by making assumptions.
What if we have multiple Xbox? Can it detect a a household behind the same router? Right now we have a 360 upstairs and downstairs. With the X1 let you play on different profiles if they machines are less than 20 feet apart?
Do you have any idea how many times this has been answered? How is this different than PC or Steam?
Oh man. James Mielke is going to have an aneurysm if that happens, if his twitter feed is any indication.Sony is the next to "fuck up" along with Microsoft. EA didn't just drop the online pass on all future titles because only one of the next gen systems was implementing it at the hardware level. PS4 is next. Have fun people.
Sure, but acting like it's some evil scheme concocted by Microsoft to screw over consumers? That's just absurd.
They really haven't said anything definite about used games. But they have taken a gigantic dump on lending games. Which honestly is a much bigger deal to me, and is so weird if they are claiming to support used games.
No thank you.
Not necessarily. They could have a way to transfer licenses as part of selling your disc that probably wouldn't work as a free transaction between friends. It's the same use case friend.
RIP loaning games to friends to play.
People are saying it's like steam, with the response "Except without all the benefits". What benefits does Steam have in this situation? Am I missing something?
How generous of them. The fact is they're still changing the current policy, and absolutely nothing about it benefits the consumer.
Everything Xbox Live offers, but for free? Offline play without need for internet connection?People are saying it's like steam, with the response "Except without all the benefits". What benefits does Steam have in this situation? Am I missing something?
Major Nelson got destroyed in the comment section of this blog and hasn't posted on Twitter since, should be interesting what he says next

I'm not sure what answers you're looking for.
MS is basically taking away all the advantages consoles had over PC gaming, and giving none of the advantages of PC gaming in return.

So like I said before.
You can let your friends play your game on their Xbox but you need to be signed in or the person will have to pay the fee.
If I have to buy more than one game for my household....then I am out.
